But the problem is the prosecution only has 4 jury challenges left, so he has to use them wisely..

A full 12 person jury has been selected.
Expecting the "opening statements" Monday morning, April 22.
*Apparently, each side only gets 10 strikes to reject potential jurors. Both sides exhausted their quota by early Thursday, so jury selection proceeded quickly with only simple vetting and no refusals possible regardless any suspicions as to their suitability.
While it is plausible that , in New York, several of those final 7 selections may have bias against trump, it is at least equally plausible that at least one of them could be MAGA loyalist who lied his/her way through the questioning without possibility of being rejected as a juror! On merit the evidence appears to be clearly against the accused - who is a known sex-offender and convicted fraud. However, it just takes one clever trump-loyalist LIAR to create a hung jury.
If I could place a bet, I would bet a significant sum that trump escapes justice by a hung jury.

Sandoval hearing:
The judge held a Sandoval hearing in the afternoon.
The routine procedure aimed to address Trump’s criminal history and assess how much prosecutors can ask about it if the defendant testifies.
Prosecutors want to bring up past cases — including a $355 million civil fraud order and the E. Jean Carroll defamation case — but the former president's legal team argues those issues aren't relevant to the case at hand.
The judge said lawyers will have his decision on that matter by Monday.
It's not yet clear whether the former president will testify. But coming out of the courtroom, Trump said “yes” when asked whether he would take the stand.

USA today/Suffolk university poll reveals 65% of voters expect Trump to be convicted in hush money trial. This is the weakest of several criminal cases against him. In the past, courts have found Trump guilty of sexual assault, defamation, tax evasion and business fraud. Also he has been involved as plaintiff and defendant in over 3000 lawsuits.
