US constitution says little about immigration. Federal government isn't granted power to remove non-citizens. They have constitutional rights such as equal protection under the law. So open border is the original migration policy for much of US history.

I wasn't comparing the events that happened on Jan 6th to 9-11.I was commenting that these 2 Presidents sat there and did fucking nothing while our country was being attacked.One sat there for 7 minutes,one sat there and watched for 180 minutes.I was strictly commenting on the fact that our supposed leaders both sat there and did nothing.Some real leaders there,right?You say the 2 situations aren't "even on the same level and never will be".So tell me which one do you think is worse,George sitting there for 7 minutes and doing nothing while we're being attacked,or trump sitting there for 180 minutes watching us being attacked,and doing nothing?
One sat there for 7 minutes listening to kids read a story while our country was being attacked,and did nothing to help the situation.People in the government were waiting to hear from him on how to handle the situations they were in.Dire situations with who knew how many planes were hijacked.What's dumb fuck George doing,sitting there getting read children's stories for 7 minutes.Maybe the pentagon don't get hit if Georgie don't sit there for 7 minutes listening to children's stories.You say "No one can process any kind of reaction in those minutes",you can't process a reaction in 7 minutes,what are you a fuckin zombie?

I will let you know when my suburb of Chicago starts asking residents to house homeless people.And I will also let you know if and when my suburb asks residents to house migrants,cause that hasn't happened yet either.So I do agree it's really odd behavior to give preference to illegal aliens over our own U.S. citizens,but that's not what is happening here.You'll have to seek out who are the people wanting to do that.As I explained in my post #91,there are different programs geared towards both sets of people.Here,the homeless aren't worse off because of the migrant situation.One has nothing to do with the other.

You don't need to pass "more" legislation to enforce what is embedded in our Constitution.
Decades ago, bipartisan immigration reforms were blocked in congress that could help fix broken system according to Congress research service. US can benefit greatly from more legal immigration and less illegal immigration. There could have been more economic growth, tax revenue and funding for social security.

Darkhorse12 is right. Under the law, migrants aren't invaders because of no armed hostility, no attempt to overthrow government and no declaration of war. Being an illegal migrant isn't a crime. Texas governor is relying on flawed legal arguments that cannot be justified in court. He is illegally defying supreme court, federal government and rule of law.
