Blue jacket lady hands the question to the CJ who reads it
CJ hands the written question to a lady in a red jacket who makes a notation on it
Then red jacket lady gives it to a lady in a purple jacket
Who hands the written question to a Page
Who then takes it out of the room.
There's no need for blue jacket lady and purple jacket lady.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul got smacked down again today by Chief Justice Roberts when Paul attempted to announce the name of who he thinks is the whistle-blower in his proposed question.
This was the 2nd time during the trial his same question was rejected. It's reported that Paul left the Senate floor & tweeted his question to his followers.

Senator Lamar Alexander has stated he will inform the media of his vote tonight. His vote will help set the tone for tomorrow.He's retiring this year and hopefully he will do so with a clear conscience.

Snorkel...the exercise never had a good chance of having Trump removed because it wasn't going to reach the 2/3rd's vote threshold necessary to remove him. However, that doesn't release the Senate from doing their job.
Prior to this impeachment, all 15 trials had witnesses/documents presented. This will be the first time it does not take place & this Senate will be known has having a "sham" trial. I believe it will leave a rotten taste in the mouth of Americans & come 2020 we will have the largest voter turnout in our history where Trump & GOP Senators will be removed from office.
The damage has been done.
