President Donald Trump on Tuesday asserted that he had not changed his “tone” with regard to the seriousness of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
At a press briefing, MSNBC’s Kristen Welker noted that the president had struck a more “somber” tone in the last 24 hours after initially insisting that the virus would quickly “go away.”
“I have seen that where people actually liked it,” Trump said of his Monday briefing. “But I didn’t feel different. I’ve always known this is a real — this is a pandemic.”
“I thought it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic,” he added.
Really? First it was a Democratic hoax. Then you told us it was under control. Then you said tests were available for anyone who needed one. Then you told us you weren't the one who got rid of the pandemic team & looked for someone to blame. Nobody knows pandemics better than you.
Pathetic POS

Don Jr threw a Mar A Lago 50th birthday party for his girlfriend Kimberly. Well, not exactly.
Following in his father's footsteps, GOP donors paid for the 50k party. It's kind of funny because his stepmom Melania turns 50 later this year.
Some of the donors have never met Trump or his family. Their "invitation" should have said "invoice."
Jr's girlfriend gets paid by Trump's re-election fund for "appearances" & receives her checks from front man Brad Pascale. In Palm Beach people talk about her bitching to him about her checks arriving late.
For years, vendors in Palm Beach have talked about how Trump tries to get "free" stuff by stating these small companies should want to be associated with the Trump name.
Grifters gotta grift.

Trump is an opportunist but he also suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He's constantly thinking of how to work a situation so that it sounds just right to everyone, especially now that he's a politician. I heard him speaking at that press conference today. My customer had the television on and so I had to laugh several times with how he tried to phrase the situation. Good grief. I don't care if I'm popular on here or not. President Blowhard declined perfectly good testing kits from the WHO and no, they're not faulty. That's why all the other countries in the world accepted them after Germany produced one. I guarantee there's some kind of money involved because Trump isn't a patriot who cares about America. What a load of crap. That's why he knocked the dollar down 12% in value after his first year in office. He'd sell anyone or anything out for a buck. We're behind on testing because we don't have enough of them to use and the CDC had to build one from scratch. Also, many officials were exposed to people who had coronavirus and then returned to their offices without testing. Yes, I actually agree with Republicans that China caused a lot of this to happen but no, I don't think Trump is doing an amazing job. This clown tried to suggest Democrats were blowing it out of proportion and then weeks later he's declaring a national emergency. President Flip Flop doesn't inspire faith because I know he provides no real leadership.

Short answer: Dealing with Trump's sleazy society that Americans embrace. The long answer is I don't believe I can influence people to vote differently on here. It's likely extreme partisanship on Covers and so I'm better off posting on random articles. It's a bigger audience most of the time and I'll get enough undecided people to think differently about a subject or provide more input. I think they call it SJW but that's a load of crap. It's more like I want a world with intelligence and sanity. I'm going to do whatever is necessary to accomplish it. I'm also trying to run an entire small business on my own, doing all the work. Oh, my boss puts a schedule together and calls people to confirm appointments. She can't even do that right most of the time. I had to do a ton of work under insane timeframes, while getting ripped off. That's the real world, which is why most Trump supporters love the guy. They're always scamming others and stealing money. They're Machiavellian. They think they're Walter White but that's funny because I'm more like that fictional character than they are. I may not know science like he did but I am educated and I can be duplicitous.
Anyway, I am very comfortable financially and so my boss didn't understand I can play the long game. Eventually, I will end up running everything on my own, whether it's because she dies from cancer or because I'm not going to keep doing it for her on my own forever. She's just like Trump and suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I estimate she's worse and so her time is short, even if she somehow survives. I did manage to pull off minor miracles and so I actually have a fairly stable client list, even if we do go into a recession. I know that's surprising but some of these middle class people just have money and didn't spend everything. I'm sure a few customers might have to give it up but I'm that damn good. They want me and so my idiotic boss never understood I had to put extra time in to make sure they were pleased. That's how you make people comfortable when they part with their money. They feel it's necessary or that it's being spent well. She's a greedy moron who thinks time is money and so you do the best job possible, within the shortest amount of time. Now that has finally slowed a bit, only because she's not in good health and she can't dictate control. She was trying to add more customers and we're pretty much at capacity. I may have to get rid of a couple of people but let's see how coronavirus shakes out. Circumstances may do that for me anyway and I might have to swallow my pride.

As I was reading this, I thought if financially secure why not become her competitor. Do you have a high startup cost? Do you need a facility to store your product or can you run this from home?
Anyway, you may have to cool your jets for now but good luck whatever you decide.

Midnite - What up my man - been awhile. Really got away from the political forum. It's reached a point where there is no respectful debating. It's all one-sided (whichever way you choose) There are no discussions! It's simply bashing if someone doesn't agree with someone else's opinion. No point of even having this forum. Way too much hatred! Couple things I read but probably weren't in this thread. (you are in all of them - hard to keep track) You definitely need to take a siesta from this forum. Anyway. let me address the Chinese virus flu you think is a racial slur! Man, that is a CNN talking point which is laughable. I watched a press conference where a main-street person (Can't use journalist because there is no such thing) keep harping on "Why keep calling it the "Chinese virus". Here's the point - That's what the main street media gets out of a death-sentence virus - What it's being called!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF - Who fki in cares what its called???????????????????????????????????????? A racist comment is their headline What a bunch of douche-bags. If you think calling it the Chinese virus is racist, you don't know what racism is. You simply ride along because it was directed towards Trump
Didn't miss you or Slim at all.
BTW...I have offered to debate Raiders, proguy & someone else that I can't remember. I asked them to pick the topic but didn't get any takers. The offer still stands for anyone.
Regarding the slur, it was a weak comment on my part which I admit in retrospect.
And at least I have the balls to admit if I was wrong unlike the Trump supporters who still won't admit they got conned by the POS in the WH.

Midnite- Second point which you stated that now, maybe small business owners will change and realize how important their employees are. I may be reading you all wrong on this. Anyway, as a small business owner of 30 years, I have never met a small business owner who disrespects his employees. I don't know where you would come up with that line of thinking. I'm sure it happens but I haven't witnessed it. Here's, my plan if my business get instructed to shut down. I will pay my employees (My payroll is approx. $6000.00 per week) as long as I can. Reasonable guest would be 3 weeks max. I will give them their net pay, hoping the govt won't hold me to the taxes. I have no problem shorting the govt. I learned this from my father-in-law who paid one of his employees for 1 year with no questions asked due to an illness. That's a an Employer who appreciates his people. I want to be that employer as I feel most small business employers should be. Without my employees who I treat with respect, I wouldn't be where I am today. If I read you wrong (really sounded condescending) than I apologize. I probably won't respond again but always appreciated you being respectful towards my opinions. Later dude, enjoy your family and take a break from this bullshit.
Bravo to you for the way you run your business. I was basing my comment on the turnover I see in my community where waitresses/waiters are regularly replaced as well as HVAC techs who have visited our properties lately. We don't do business with any company with high turnover.
I'll be here until November because if I don't let off steam in this forum about Trump, I wouldn't have another outlet. I don't talk about politics or religion with those I love. I don't love anyone here, so it's a perfect place.
I try to use some humor while also point out the disaster that is Trump & my disdain for his supporters. People can agree or disagree with me and I don't lose any sleep over any of it.

She'll go out of business without me doing this. I'd prefer to not build an entire client list from scratch. That's much harder when I have a list of clients waiting for me and who are familiar with me. It's not about the cost involved but rather the amount of work and time required to build a similar model. I work in people's homes so I can't do it from my house. My boss was given a terminal diagnosis but her cancer did practically go away last year. However, it came back in December and they told her she has under a year left. She's in worse condition now and she's been taking Ibrance for over a year. They don't have clinical data on someone for this long because they're not supposed to make it this far. What I anticipated all along is that it would be harder for her to take the drug and eventually the cancer could spread, or the drug may not have the same efficacy. We're reaching that point now and so it's likely inevitable. Her husband doesn't know their finances are tenuous. My hunch is they're a month or two away from bankruptcy without money coming in. He's going to be blindsided by everything because she thinks I'll work for him if she dies. Of course I wouldn't but her husband will close the company if that happens. He already disclosed that to me when it first happened. The last important piece of information is that the contract I signed states I can't open a company for a year if I quit. She would go to court over it and so my best play is really to wait this out until I can form a company name and absorb the clients.

That's pretty sad. My Dad succumbed to cancer @ 67 2 years after he retired.
Perhaps under the circumstances & if they do go bankrupt, he could sell you the customer list for $1 & void the non-compete agreement. You've been loyal to him and his customers. I know you don't want to look like a vulture, so you must be careful if & when you broach the idea.
BOL & hope everything works out for you.

At a press conference Thursday, Trump said the malaria drug chloroquine had been approved for use as a coronavirus treatment, but the FDA later said it had not. He gets people hopeful via his lies and then depressed when they hear the truth. Over promise. Under deliver. Take credit. Shift blame. Lie. Repeat.
He's lied about Google's website.
He's lied about the medical ships.
He's lied about 1,000.000 test kits.
He's a useless POS.

Don't forget back in late January and February Trump was praising China's XI for his strong leadership against the virus & that he was working closely with XI to help. He was amazed China was building hospitals in a number of days.
Now he's playing the blame game and rejecting China's offer to send the US medical supplies.
But don't fret...Only Trump can fix it.

As much as I despise Trump, I am 100% behind him being successful during this emergency. At the same time, it's not going to stop me from pointing out when he farks up.
You just can't help yourself from being a good patriot, can you ?
You just F it all up with your second comment. Nothing but a partisan hack you are !!!
