These “protest” organizers call themselves “patriots.” Fair enough. Equally fair, however, is calling them insurgents, or even domestic terrorists, willing to commit suicide by way of infecting themselves and others to destabilize public trust as well as the political union of these United States. They say they stand for liberty. They really stand for disloyalty, disunion and death. Americans invoking patriotism but disobeying stay-at-home orders do so with the moral justification of a suicide bomber.
If “protesters” risked harm to themselves only, it might be appropriate to characterize them as a kind of “death cult.” (It might be funny, in a grim way, to joke about “culling the herd.”) But these people do not only put themselves as risk. The World Health Organization warned today the pandemic has yet to peak. “Protesters,” therefore, threaten us all. As Nixon said: “If a vocal minority, however fervent its cause, prevails over reason and the will of the majority, this nation has no future as a free society.”
Why are they showing up with assault weapons to protest? It doesn't make much sense to me.

Trump says 4 million coronavirus tests have now been conducted. That was the amount first promised to be done by the week of March 9. And that doesn't mean 4 million people have been tested because people get multiple tests.
328 Million people/150k tests per day = 2186.6 days before everyone can tested. Or four days short of SIX YEARS for everyone in the country to be tested.
Everyone who wants a test can get a test. You may just have to wait a few years.

Just spoke to my friend MBS (Crown Prince) of Saudi Arabia, who spoke with President Putin of Russia, & I expect & hope that they will be cutting back approximately 10 Million Barrels, and maybe substantially more which, if it happens, will be GREAT for the oil & gas industry! per Trump April 2nd.
BTW...it's being reported Kim Jong-un is gravely ill after major surgery.

One thing that genuinely mystifies me. I am at a loss about why his base sees him as manly or strong.
Trump is one of the least masculine, least adult people in public life. Needy, whiny, defensive, pleading, scared of strong women, terrified of more powerful men, he wears makeup and his hair looks like something Davy Crockett shot almost 200 years ago. Do they feel like victims in life just like him? Do they also blame others for their shitty lives? Trump taps into the insecurity and envy of his base. He's what poor people think rich people are like but it's the exact opposite in reality. He's ignorant and rude and acts like they would love to act towards others if they weren't so powerless.
He doesn't read, thinks he knows it all, rejects science and advice of those so much wiser than he. He's resentful of intelligence and sophistication which his base finds attractive. He hates what they hate.
But yet, they are the first to crack in "stay at home" states. They bring automatic weapons to state capitals in a display of power which doesn't exist. Trump doesn't give a shit about them and his base will remain angry long after Trump is gone.

Trump's ex-caddie has been promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff. He could use the raise after filing for bankruptcy when his wife was diagnosed with Lyme disease which resulted in their home being foreclosed upon and ending in a divorce.
This guy could use a break before his turn at writing a book about his WH experiences.
