Millions of taxpayers receive no or lesser refunds due to cap on deductibles and other changes in Trump's rushed tax bill.  Despite his claims, most americans don't appreciate his tax cuts because they are too small and favor the weallthy over the middle class.  In 2018 midterm elections, democrats running against tax cuts gain 40 seats to take control of house of representatives.  Also polls show most americans prefer higher taxes on the rich.

Deductions favor high-income, high-tax states like California and New York, which together receive nearly one-third of the deduction’s total value nationwide....capping deductions is putting higher taxes on the more wealth taxpayers in the country...

If, the state and local tax (SALT) deduction disproportionately benefits high-income taxpayers, with more than 88 % of the benefit flowing to those with incomes in excess of $100,000...isn't this what most Americans want ?  Higher taxes on the rich..

It's pretty crazy that Trump listens to Coultergeist & Hannity. He doesn't have to worry about his base. He loves the poorly educated & they love him. His base has nowhere else to go. There's no one warming up in the bullpen unless David Duke gets back in the game.

Someone in the country needs to bring us together & I don't see anyone emerging to do the job as of yet.

Could Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) be the one that brings us together ?

Yesterday, former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke backed her antisemitic statements that the US Congress supports Israel,,because it's members had been paid to do so..

Wonder no more...The Tennessee Valley Authority board voted Thursday to close the final burner at the Paradise coal-fired plant in Muhlenberg County by the end of 2020... Looks like the Trump appointees ignored the political posturing and closed the expensive, and unnecessary coal units..

So the Drain the Swamp president tweeted his support to keep the plant running. The plant is owned by Murray Energy run by a huge GOP donor Bob Murray. The voting board of 7 consists of 4 Trump appointees. I wonder how this vote is going to go. You Can't Make This Stuff Up!
Wonder no more...The Tennessee Valley Authority board voted Thursday to close the final burner at the Paradise coal-fired plant in Muhlenberg County by the end of 2020... Looks like the Trump appointees ignored the political posturing and closed the expensive, and unnecessary coal units..Read more here: https://www.kentucky.com/news/state/kentucky/article226255995.html#storylink=cpy

Kevin McCarthy supports Trump's National Emergency declaration.

Does he know Trump plans to take fire restoration funding allocated to California to pay for his wall that will never be built?

Haven't see much about this in the news but FEMA Head Brock Long has resigned effective in March. He got nailed by DHS for improper use of government vehicles to the tune of 151k.

Bill Barr will become the new Attorney General by a vote of 54-45.

Three Democrats crossed party lines & voted yes on his confirmation. They are Joe Manchin from West Virginia who really is a Republican. Newbies Doug Jones from Alabama & Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona also voted yes.

One Republican Rand Paul voted no because that's just what he does.

In his new book, Andrew McCabe says Sessions once said of the FBI workforce: “Back in the old days...you all only hired Irishmen. They were drunks but they could be trusted. Not like all those new people with nose rings and tattoos."

Why do all these cowards wait until they leave their political positions before blowing the whistle on stuff like this? Now they all just want to cash in on their notoriety.

    Manchin is a true DINO....................

..and Paul voted no because Barr has been a big supporter of the Patriot Act, which lowered the standard for spying on Americans..he's been against expanded government surveillance  for a looong time..

Trump declaring a national emergency for his wall sets a bad precedent by a bad President.

Trump's physical stating he's 6 foot 3 is being debunked all of the internet with a picture of Trump standing near Jeb Bush who is 6'3. There's almost a 2 inch difference.

This guy is so vain he even has to lie about his height & weight.

How can anyone believe anything that comes out of his WH?

I think what Trump fears most about his taxes being exposed is not that he cheats on his taxes as often as he cheats on his wives but we will find out he's not as nearly as rich as he purports as well as claiming charitable contributions never made.

He loves to over-value his properties when it benefits him & under-value them for tax purposes. I think yuuuge discrepancies can be found.

Also after negotiating money for his wall from 20b to 1.6b to now 1.4b he has been exposed to be a lousy negotiator & deal maker.

I have to spend some Executive time now.

Trump is now at Mar a Lago after that embarrassing fiasco this afternoon because he needs his ego stroked by his club members. He'll have beautiful weather to golf this weekend.

Trying to make up for a ridiculous political promise by declaring a national emergency is just another example of his disregard & disrespect for the separation of powers devised by our founding fathers.

    He's a farking disgrace.

    "I use many stats." WTF?

He hates being faced with the facts & when pressed he insults people. And what's up with this duct tape fascination?

Lawsuits are already being filed to prevent Trump moving forward.

Without a teleprompter this guy is an absolute disaster. With a teleprompter he is a borderline functional illiterate.

    And then this beauty...

Trump was asked about the influence of right-wing media: "They have somebody, Ann Coulter. I don't know her. I hardly know her. I haven't spoken to her in way over a year." He adds that if he spoke to her, she'd probably be very nice. "I like her."

    Huh?  Total gibberish

76% of Trump supporters say they would happily shoot themselves in the head if they were sure it would upset Democrats.

Geeshhh..what's wrong with the other 24%?

Deblasio moved from clebrating the failure of the deal to bashing AOC.

His "you have to be tough to make it in NYC" comment didnt age well...after his advisors saw the poll numbers, got a feel for the public vibe. Now thinks it's a horryifying turn of events.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed to challenge Trump's emergency order.  Texas landowners and wildlife protection organization argue his illegal order violates constitution and harms border communities. He has presented no convincing case proving crisis.  Border crossings are at historic lows.  Trump even undercuts his claim of emergency by saying "he doesn't need to do this."

Other lawsuits expected from American civil liberty union, Citizens for responsibility and ethics, Ninkanen center, Protect democracy, Border network for human rights, Center for biological diversity plus attorney generals of California and other states.
