Polls are virtually useless. They showed Trump hadn't led in PA since the summer and never led in WI or MI. He won all those states. Similar things happened in the primaries, such as Clinton leading over Sanders by 8-20 points in Michigan, then losing that state.

You have to judge things based on turnout, demographics, popularity of candidates and desire for change from the country.

Don't bother with polls. They're flawed and mostly meaningless.

Reagan was prophetic.  Enough with the LW and RW haggling. We need to seek the truth, freedom, equality and rule of law. Instead we are following the down the ant heap of totalitarianism. Trump is miscast. Wrong job for man who excels at reality TV and threatens the first amendment. Reagan must be rolling over in his grave.  God bless America.

Until  you got it spectacularly incorrect in the final couple of sentences.  Sorry, but the Big O' was more of a threat to people's ability for free speech than Trump.  Anybody that believes in a powerful central state is willing to compromise the power of its people to assemble and speak.  I.e.  this means dems if you can follow the bouncing ball...

Rush - Communism is essentially totalitarian with nicer slogans. So I think I are arguing that Obama is so far left he was a borderline Marxist. Following the horseshoe theory he was more of a threat to the 1st amendment than trump since extreme ends of the political spectrum are similar.

i didn't vote for Obama in 2012. However i think your point is a stretch. Embracing globalism and universal health care does not make you a totalitarian leader.
Trump borrowing from the totalitarian playbook is tough to argue against

Back in the '80s, President Ronald Reagan denounced Soviet Union as the "Evil Empire". But in 2017, 49 percent of Republican voters consider Russia to be either an ally or friendly to the US. And only 12% of the GOP voters consider Russia as an enemy.

Surely times have changed, it's now about half of the GOP voters considering Russia as friendly as our ally. Donald Trump once said, "NATO is obsolete", he had to retrieve that statement later on though.

This was a huge propaganda hoax to scare the US citizen into exploding the size and spending of our military and defense. 

Remember Star Wars defense system and school nuke drills? I do..

The media then was not as swift and expansive so people were slow or incapable of finding out more information than what was told at fireside chats or the newspaper. 

Nothing like war or terror to drum up military funding support, almost a free ticket to sucker punch the serfs.

So much drivel here and misinformation. People pretending to understand things that are beyond their understanding. People trying to answer questions while assuming they have answers to hundreds of underlying questions they have no answer to. Why are there nations? What is the purpose of a nation? How are nations founded? What makes a friend a friend a friend? What makes an enemy an enemy? And this to say nothing about our particular nation, its founding principals, and those it considers its enemies and/or friends. Unless you are prepared to answer these questions, just shut up and go back to doing what you do best: i.e., fooling yourself into thinking you know/understand anything.
