CBP sources have released these figures, because the Biden admin. won't.
That data, confirmed by multiple CBP sources and which reflects apprehensions between ports of entry between Oct. 2021 and Oct. 2023, shows that agents encountered 6,386 nationals from Afghanistan in that period, as well as 3,153 from Egypt, 659 from Iran and 538 from Syria.
Agents also encountered 12,624 from Uzbekistan, 30,830 from Turkey, 1,613 from Pakistan, 164 from Lebanon, 185 from Jordan, 123 from Iraq and 15,594 from Mauritania. The data does not include information on how many of those migrants were removed, or who were released into the U.S. with a court date.
Those numbers do not include encounters by CBP’s Office of Field Operations at ports of entry. It also does not include the numbers who have snuck past agents without detection -- sources say there have been over 1.5 million such "gotaways" during the Biden administration.

@Raiders22 You would think the incidents over the past 4-5 days might raise more concerns about Biden's open border policy with our own citizens.
They have, actually. This is the second biggest issue right now. Even some of the Liberals now have concerns. Some of it is due to the busing of the illegals to sanctuary cities, etc. But even this conflict in the Middle East will make hardcore Leftists at least reconsider their open border stance.
It is a huge disappointment that it had to reach this point.
Look at a leading indicator -- Europe. Look at the concern the Liberals there have now.

They just asked about this concern at the briefing. Spokesman at the briefing just said the administration is looking for more funds to look at the challenges at the border.
All is good now and the problem will be completely solved soon now.

Since the first day this fool took office and his clown administration, have been saying the border safe and secure. He tells the world to come on in, no need to worry about anything we will give you whatever you want. Tells criminals you are welcome here and that their evil doings can be more profitable. He sells all the border wall material at a huge discount... now it's election time... the border not secure and now needs attention. Orange man right again...

Might help if the other side gave a crap about it. Mexico does nothing to be involved with their border, they just let all the responsibility be on the US and the US taxpayer. I find it comical that the right side is pounding the table on this but when their leadership is in control the issue did not and does not get resolved. There is no answer which has financial reality to fix the border issue, we cant pour endless funds into something and expect the problem to go away when the other side of the border does not care and the incentive of the person/people desiring to cross is greater than ANY wall could be, let alone one that has the proper monitoring...its impossible and for sure not about Biden or the DEMS.
Do we as a country want to REALLY commit to stopping the problem? Are we ready to fund it and keep it up or is it going to be a patriotic bottle rocket and then we shuffle off to the next partisan complaint?

Same reason we do, it brings people that maybe they are not wanting into villages and communities to GET to the border, it also creates opportunities for drug trade and people trade which Mexico is not wanting.
If I were in Mexico and lived in the general path of the border transit route I would be quite nervous about the safety of my family, just in the same way if I were to live in a border town down here I would not feel super safe. Having a constant migrant flow of any kind is not something beneficial for Mexico and their citizens.

Mexico is a 3rd-world country with a corrupt, weak gov't. I agree they're no help.
As far as Biden & the dems go, they deny there's even a problem but blame it on the previous admin.
I get sick & tired of hearing KJP saying "we inherited a broken immigration system". There's a big difference between an immigration system & basic border security. She's a bigger dolt than Red was.

It is a partisan copout reply, no question about it. That said, it is also true.
So neither side is really motivated to financially commit because that would take away money for social programs (DEM) and money to give to corps or to start a war somewhere and supplement our defense contractors (REPUB).
I think YOU more than anyone would have perspective of the scope and real cost of this partisan talking tool, it would cost multiple trillions and a yearly commitment to maintain, monitor and improve all the wall, it just is something we are not ever going to do.

The cost of doing nothing will be much greater, & not just in $$.
The wall won't solve everything but what is the alternative? We can't just keep letting people walk into the country whenever they feel like it. What will be the next event(s) that will have us take it seriously?

President Donald Trump ran his first presidential campaign on the promise to overhaul U.S. immigration, and for the most part, he kept that promise. Month after month, from the very start of Trump’s term, immigration policy changed rapidly, from the Zero Tolerance policy that separated children from their parents, to record low caps on the number of refugees accepted by the U.S. each year.
President-elect Joe Biden has promised to undo most — if not all — of President Trump’s immigration reforms.
Tom Wong, an associate professor of political science at the University of California San Diego. “What we’ll see from a Biden Administration within the first 100 days are those things that can be undone with the stroke of a pen…
But the new Administration will likely be cautious about quickly ending the so-called “Remain in Mexico” program, which stipulates asylum seekers who claim asylum in the U.S. after entering from Mexico must wait in Mexico while their cases are heard, without first developing a plan to prevent a surge in migration at the U.S./Mexico border.
No, the admin was not cautious, it was calculating. While millions of more government dependent people crossed our borders the admin pretended nothing was happening until finnally they pretended to put the Vice Pres in charge who quickly blamed Climate Change.
How about a followup on those 545 children Trump ripped from their parents. A Goggle search can find nothing but Oct 2020 article after article. You know you've been suckered when it quietly disappears.

So stating reality is cheering the demise of the republic huh? Interesting.
This forum and most of the country are focused on which party is to blame for all the woes of society and how they can elevate their POV and thus be right, or that the other side is wrong, corrupt, fake, controlled etc. The demise of the republic starts with how our leaders poison the public and how corps take the middle and lower class to the poorhouse.
If you follow ALL of my messages, they are all the same. If we want to build the republic it wont be from extremist political idiots, the republic rises when the PUBLIC is united, we are not united and we are not considering what is best for society and our neighbor, we are too busy putting massive Trump flags on our car and trying to offend our neighbor.
Get it straight...

Ya, you're right. All the cities on the East Coast are happy to take all the illegals in, huh? They clearly don't have any issues with them arriving, right?

To fix immigration system, American immigration council recommends long term investing in asylum processing and increasing legal immigration pathways. Aggressive deterrence policies by past administrations have failed to reduce the number of people seeking asylum.
