Senate and president are right to reject House nonsense. In every state, non-citizens are already ineligible to vote in federal elections under US laws. For decades, all major investigations found that voting fraud is very rare. Despite no evidence, republicans are still promoting conspiracies about widespread voting fraud so they can challenge election results if they lose again. For examples, frivolous lawsuits, sham audits, fake electors scheme and attack on capitol.

The White House has formally announced that Biden will veto the Republican bill that seeks to prevent noncitizens from voting. There is no hiding it now. Biden and the Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote in the election this November. Our elections are NOT safe from mass interference as long as states do not require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. -Texas AG Interesting development we have going on.....
Yep, Biden exposes himself again. I'll bet he doesn't even understand it. So much for all your bipartisanship.
Biden lies so much.

If they are allowed to do this, mass amnesty for all illegals as Kamala says, then there will be no more "swing" states left come 2028. We will become Europe as its known today.....the fall of western civilization.

I didn't hear Harris say anything about amnesty. She did say she was against mass deportation.
The horses have left the barn. People regularly overstay their visas & rarely is anyone ever deported. We can't even track down the people who have been, for the lack of another word, "documented" who have abused our visa system.
As a nation we can't deport 16 million + illegals & the cost would be astronomical. It's a logistical nightmare. I've never seen anyone introduce a plan as to how we would accomplish this. A depleted workforce would play havoc with our economy.
I don't have the answer & I haven't heard anyone that does.

Presidents can only enforce immigration policies that congress and courts allow. Under the law, amnesty is limited to illegal immigrants who lived in the US since the 1980s, their children and immigrant spouses of US citizens. Expansion of legal pathways to citizenship is the best proven solution to reduce illegal immigration. But 10 years of residence is usually required to become a citizen. Non-citizens aren't eligible to vote in federal elections.

If Dementia Joe & Co. hadn't let it happen then we'd be in a better position to handle it.

I don't disagree. The criminal illegals would be enough. We need to encourage LEGAL immigration. Merit based amongst the workforce. Skilled and unskilled as there are plenty of industries in need.

You think deporting illegals is more costly than granting them "asylum", and essentially all the benefits of citizenship. More than natural born citizens in some cases. Housing. Medical. Not to mention these illegal aliens often settle in impoverished areas with limited resources, stressing an already fragile balance. I believe in zero tolerance for illegal immigration and swift deportation. I believe barriers along the southern border are a good thing, even if inhumane. Don't be fooled by liberal propaganda. Crime does come with illegal immigration. I've seen it with my owns eyes in San Francisco. And in recent years, i've started seeing it in Oregon, and other states throughout the PNW.

This exactly. People on the right seem to think that asylum seekers are immediately granted citizenship once they enter the country. This is 100% wrong. It takes years for the legal citizenship. Meaning they are not eligible for any government benefits without citizenship, Heck my Canadian wife lived in the U.S. and owned multiple properties, still took her 6 years to get citizenship after we were married. This is a long, slow process. Can easily seek citizenship taking 10 years for asylum seekers.

How long do you think you'd have to wait if you tried to gain citizenship in Mexico or a South American country?
Or
How bout an Asian country?
Coming to America as an undocumented person versus a properly documented person are vastly different. I believe most are looking for those people to be documented as legally entering the country, which means there is a vetting process of some sort but when you are dealing with individuals who are not who they say they are and are here under different names that is why the system breaks down.
I can tell you from a first hand situation we just dealt with is that we had an employee come to us with what appeared to be valid documents and was hired, however it was later determined that it was his uncles information. His uncle came to the US back in the 80's and established residency and citizenship and then left the US to never return...he provided or his family stole his identity and came to the US to work under uncles name. This is why the documents looked legit and there was no reason to think otherwise until the employee stated he now has his SSN and would like us to change it to his number. This is how we got the information about the uncle. So earnings have been paid into a SSN for an invalid worker and when that SSN becomes of age to retire and collect benefits it will be sent to his uncle in Mexico...not really how the system is to work given that his uncle did not earn those earnings and his uncle is older while his family member who used his identification is much younger...
This is how corrupt the system really is that we have this type of systemic situation happening everywhere and I believe this is being done intentionally to deceive...this is a problem.....

Stu,
Immigrants have been accused for the increase of crime since our country was born. They are easy scapegoats. Chinese, Irish, Italian, Mexican & Muslims have all been falsely accused of bringing crime to the US. The only section of our society where I have witnessed an increase in crime was when Castro emptied all their scumbags during the Mariel boatlift in the early 80's.
In fact, immigrants are less likely to be incarcerated than native born Americans & when they are incarcerated in most cases it's because they violated our immigration laws. Don't buy into the fear factor spread by the Right. While every nationality has losers, they also come to America & build businesses, families & pay taxes like everyone else.

@StumpTownStu Thank you for the first hand account. "Boots on the ground" reports like these are flooding the Nation. Mid lives in one of the most affluent areas in all of the Country, WPB down through Boca into FLL. He does not know of what you speak of.
Good Lord kc. I grew up in the South Bronx where every nationality can be found by just walking a block in the city. scooby can confirm that fact
We in South Florida are not a place where Mexicans enter illegally. But we have boatloads coming from Cuba, Haiti & Jamaica every week. The biggest difference is our Coast Guard does a fantastic job of catching & repatriating illegals. We also have the white Europeans who assimilate illegally into our society because they are less conspicuous & fly under the radar of society.

So many sheep in NY don't even realize or basically turn a blind eye to the northern border. This border issue was the main reason I missed the Rangers game @ Habs on Tuesday. These twats don't understand that you can get ice for a Rangers game in MTL for a pork roll egg n cheese SPK

Stu,
I agree but what surprised me was that after Mexicans & Salvadorians, India has the 3rd most illegals in our country.
Be well brother!

One has to ask how many of them crossed the southern border. Given the nuclear nature of Indian families, and the number of Indians here legally, and the number of Indians here for work in the tech sector, I we would guess expired visas account for much of that. Indians don't sell fentanyl though. Well, the country of India sells precursors to Mexico but that's another story. Indians aren't typically street level dealers. Central Americans though, have become the foot soldiers/street level dealers of the cartels.
And to be clear, I don't believe Indians belong here either at the level at which they come here. I have nothing personal against Central/South Ameticans in theory. There exist beautiful culture, and beautiful people in Central/South America. I just know how the story ends. I see it all the time in SF and the Bay in general.

Perfect example, couple weeks ago i'm in bed with my wife. And she's talking about how Trump lies so much, and how he said that Venezuelan gangs are taking a stronghold in Aurora. And the mayor came out and said it's false. Now for context, her grandparents lived in Aurora. When her grandmother died, she inherited a house in Aurora. And for a brief second, we considered living there. Very brief second. A millisecond. I tell her that the mayor is lying. That I had heard about the South American gangs in Aurora before it was political, just on some street shite. And I tell her about the Central Americans in SF. She's been to the Bay like twice since we moved. And one of those trips was 24 hours for my boys wedding. I'm always there. Couple times a month just about every month. My time is essentially split there many/most months.
To put it bluntly, the last thing this cou try needs is more poor people. Liberals contend we don't do enough for the ones we already have, and in many cases I would agree. So the last thing we need is more poor people. And can we please stop calling them asylum seekers. These are Vietnamese or Afghani refugees following their respective conflicts. These are just people from shitehole countries.

So do we treat the election result like we do on the football forum? Meaning the winner is the right side and the wrong side must stfu? We're going to need to do a lot of welfare checks on some of these lefties.
New around here? These "debates" are ongoing. There is never a "winner", least of which, based on any election. The "wrong side" has borderline already been forced to "stfu" around here, simply based on this forums moderation. I mean, just look at the thread titles across the first few pages of this forum.
As far as welfare checks, we'll see. This election is pretty far from a slam dunk. I've supported Trump in the last two elections and even i'm not 100% sure i'm voting for him.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!
