The border invasion......who's coming in?

Consensus of economists is that legal and illegal immigration produce benefits exceeding costs in the long term.  Immigrants contribute to US economy as workers, consumers, tax payers and entrepreneurs.  Past presidents realize that mass deportation would damage US economy.  Resulting in labor shortage, less tax revenue, higher inflation and lower economic growth.  Especially in agriculture, construction and hospitality industries.  As US population age, more immigrants will be needed in the future.

The "Machine" tried to squash Trump with everthing they have. They've called him Hitler, Nazi, Facist so many times that nut jobs started shooting at him. For the sake of being politically correct they removed their "he's a Hitler" adds after he was shot. Now?? Right back at it. Calling him Hitler and Facist again. Can't help themselves. It's revealing.

We all know Trump is full of himself.

Also know he is no genius either.

Analogy; But neither is Jim Harbaugh or Nick Saban, yet they won national championships. Why?, because they knew who to hire, surround themselves with. It's the same with Trump. And the guy wants to be superman so bad that he will bust his ass to get there. And being superman means making the country strong. It all benefits us.

I'm aware, that was the point.  The right side crowd is pretty hypocritical, or at least is going to be.

Trump is known as among the laziest presidents ever.  Instead of doing job of reading intelligence reports, he rather play golf about 75 to 100 times a year.  DeSantis says that Trump has achieved nothing of legislative significance as president.  Similar to GOP house being the most chaotic and dysfunctional in decades.  Trump has fulfilled a lower percentage of promises than Obama and Biden.  Unlike great presidents on Mount Rushmore, historians rank Trump as the worst president in US history.  They rank him as the worst in executive appointments.  He claims to hire only the best people but his cabinet has the highest turnover rate in senior positions.  Mental health professionals question Trump fitness for office because of his obvious mental decline.  Delusional Trump is no superman although dictators pretend to be.  Don't expect him to make America great.

 Looks like the border has been shut down.......in about six weeks time. WTF was wrong with Biden & the dems that they couldn't figure it out?

They wanted it to be open.

So why are we sending 3,000 more troops to the border if everything is shutdown?

To manage the issue. Troop surges are part of the reason we are seeing less border crossings.

You have no idea how many people have been stopped or how many got through the border.

George H Bush signed a Coast Guard contract for administrative services from a company in Northern Virginia. We paid 144k & the contract ended in 2005.

Twenty years have passed & Presidents have come & gone.

Last week DOGE announced they cancelled the long dead contract & in doing so, saved the US taxpayers 53.7 million.

 Be more explicit...I haven't seen many numbers released by agencies under this new administration as they have been muzzled by DOGE. But if you have some, I'll check them out.

 How is the message he made inaccurate? This Musk scam dealio has been proven fake pretty much every single claim they make, they are seeking dramatic partisan grandeur and in the process they are not accurately calculating any claims, they think they see a number and run with it and have been wrong almost exclusively.

We have no idea what will end up even six months from now and there is absolutely no way that chainsaw wack job will be allowed legally to do whatever he thinks he wants, in the end the result will be so much less than you guys are foaming at the mouth thinking is government bloat.

You cannot save even 10% of total costs when the targets are puny penny partisan stuff, the real meat on the bones are things your side will never tolerate so how can you think there will be substantial results? Musk is a clown and the fact he is not extensively involved is evident, he takes the words of one of those flunkies and looks like a fool when it is easily fact checked...why not do the work, keep your mouth shut and make a difference? No Musk is about running his trap and being an obnoxious nuisance and for that he is one of the best in the business.

In pool we have a two way shot.  If it goes, great.  If not, the result will also be satisfactory.

I surmise bright people create two way shots in most things they do.  So I'd offer that it may not be 100% about savings but changing the mindset, or at least slowing the current one down so that maybe 3 - 4 terms down the road (either side having power) isn't crippled by our interest payments.

Why believe the numbers then but not now?  The same folks provide the numbers to all administrations.

Maybe you just are not looking.  they are in the news nearly every day.  

This last week: Rochester, Duluth, Mankato, Dover NJ, LA, Fresno, Chicago, etc.

I would imagine it is just not top news-worthy stories to the media.  But they are for sure happening.  They are still in the news.

I am not sure what you mean by 'duds' if they Arte arresting and deporting folks.  I am sure some have not been as large as others.
