    So let's look at this. Democrats fought to stop any border wall during Trump admin. BAD, SO BAD!!! AOC pictured crying next to a fence. Biden campaign in 2020 promises all kinds of freebies to immigrants including lawyers, phones, etc.

    Meanwhile Mexican Cartels control who gets through, makes millions. Who knows how many murders and rapes.

    Then the Biden admin secretly auctions off all border wall materials purchased during Trump admin, losing money on it I'm sure.

    AND NOW THE BIDEN ADMIN WAVES ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS SO A BORDER WALL CAN BE BUILT??    an_roll_laughmust be election year

    Watching the "WH briefing"........ do these clowns think anyone believes them? KJP saying "the Prez doesn't believe a wall is effective, that there are other, more effective means of securing our border...."

     Really? What are they? First of all, you/he has been claiming that the border is secure........suddenly it's not? And you, because you say you speak for Dementia Joe, haven't given ONE idea of what those "other, more effective means" would be. Was sending Harris to Central America to hand them a few billion one of your "more effective means"? Or have you simply reached your invasion quota & now wanna stem the flow?

     Your inane comments about how you inherited a broken immigration system is pathetic. You're not fooling anyone. The only thing "transparent" about this admin. is that they lie.

     The Biden Destruction Tour rolls on......an_bomb

    So True !!  Elon Musk is a good example of a guy not in politics , but is squarely in the sights of this government.  DEMS are still pissed Musk turned Twitter into a free speech medium, and hate that Tesla is a non-union auto company.  They would love to "get him" like they are trying to do w/ Trump.

    Prosecuting political opponents is something we would expect Putin and Russia to  do..   I think a lot of voters out there will realize that the DEMS (i.e. this Central Government) has overstepped their boundary in how they are abusing their power.  an_cannon

     You may have forgotten be Malcolm X called white conservatives “wolves” and white liberals “foxes”. Conservatives are wolves as they make no secret of their contempt for minorities. White liberals are foxes because they smile in your face but have no intentions of helping you.

     You call Twitter "free speech"? That is for sure a conservative minded way to look at it. I see it now as Musk's ultra conservative platform to push his goofy narrative and try to use his Tesla cash to try and offend as many liberals as possible. I dont consider twitter any more free speech than it was before. What Musk USES it for is just the inverse of what it was used for before. The members/users of the site are not much if any different outside one narrative vs another. Musk is no more free speech than any other extremist.

    On the topic of the wall, what I find most intriguing is how again the GOP wants to use any and every sliver of opportunity to bash the other side, there is no room for understanding or common ground, no way of changing perspective or thinking in a new way...its the toxic Trump/Gaetz mindset that the only way to win is to torch the other side and those means are not important, the destruction and division do not matter. This or any wall is a waste of time when the other side of the wall has ZERO incentive or motivation to take ANY action to stop the flow coming to the wall in the first place. The will to enter or to gain access is greater than any wall could ever be. And the cost is borne completely by the taxpayer and that is multi TRILLIONS of dollars and a cost that never ends, never goes down..only up..

    Wallstreetcappers is right.  European union warns that X or twitter is the biggest source of fake news when compared to other social media platforms.  Musk is urged to comply with laws combating disinformation.

    Historically, no white house has been able to do much to control immigration due to limited funding from congress and lack of immigration reforms.  For decades, bipartisan immigration reforms failed in congress.  So Biden administration is just following past policies of Trump, Obama, Bush and Clinton.  Walls build during their administrations prove that they don't work to reduce illegal immigration.  The world is full of walls that don't work.  For example, great wall of China didn't stop Mongol invasion.  Reason why Biden administration is finishing 20 miles of wall in Texas is that congress hasn't rescinded Trump era spending on wall as requested.  To appeal to voters, building a wall is a way of doing nothing while showing that government is doing something.

    tell me you've never read the twitter files and don't use twitter, "without telling me". an_roll_laugh

    jfwy Wally.... I would be genuinely interested in hearing your opinion / view on why you think government suppression of information and "narratives that went against the regime propaganda" bans that formerly went on are considered "good" vs. open, non government suppression of info??

    In it's current form, voices on either side of the aisle are easily found and heard.  Does the algorithm favor one "side" or the other?  Idk, maybe you have some info on that but from a user perspective, someone who follows many other users throughout the political spectrum, I get equal information and exposure from both sides.  Open information, a town hall perspective, views & opinions on all sides from all people, leaving the reader informed to make their own judgments and views.  NOT the government uniparty telling you what is "right & wrong" and suppressing information from whatever side is most beneficial to the govt.  I mean, I know there are plenty of people in the world who need this and want this.  The sheep are gonna sheeple, that will never change.  But throughout the history of the world, you could not have the progress and development of human kind without those who are independent, intelligent thinkers who will continue to question status quo and what is told to them.  Why suppress information??  No good reasons thats for sure, only nefarious....

    If you want instant, up to date news and information there is no comparison between Twitter and mainstream media news.  Every single thing I find out through twitter I read about on CNN or where ever days later.  This forum is a week behind twitter news and has been forever.  It is almost comical when I stop in the cesspool forum to check out the hot topics, a week at least behind today's current events.  Anyway, good stopping by, my time is over....peace

    Exactly. I remember when Dubya, McCain, and Kyl all sponsored their own immigration proposals on the same day in 2004. And guess what happened? None of them passed! The GOP has had supermajorities on multiple occasions in the last 25 years, claims to have all the answers, then of course does jack squat because “never let a good crisis go to waste.”

    It’s a red herring to believe that the GOP cares about immigration. They don’t. They just like catering to racists, it helps secure the base.

    Just like how Trump admitted earlier this week that Mexico was never going to pay for the wall. Hearing the leaked audio from his call to Mexico’s president, begging like an idiot with no leverage, was pathetic. Trump’s a terrible negotiator. He will not solve any problems, that’s guaranteed. He can’t even keep the people he hires, they all leave, call him an idiot, and then he throws them under the bus.
    Then in hindsight he says they were bad hires. Well who hired them? The orange Dotard, that’s who.

    Just like he takes credit for Ron DeSantis, then calls him a terrible politician. Well thanks for being a poor judge of talent.

    Trump’s a walking tire fire.

    @kcblitzkrieg

     My reply was to someone that said it WAS free speech, I dont think that the Musk version of Twitter is any more "free speech" than what was before, there is no such thing as free speech because that implies neutrality...and NEITHER side is neutral and Musk is blaringly biased and has a strong heavy agenda that is different BUT similar to what was before.

    I dont think there are too many people on this site that could be an unbiased, neutral decider of what is free speech and what isnt.

    Sundance, I don't think Biden abuses his dogs other than he is too old to have that size dog. The articles I see that say so remind me of the HuffPost, MSNBC, and the NYT.

    As a boy I grew up with german shepards and they require training and attention. Biden probably gave and gives neither.

    Can you imagine Trump with biting german shepards? Hitler pics with his dogs would be splattered everywhere by the haters. Too funny it's Biden.

    Your a mod and I find some of your posts blaringly biased does that mean Covers violates free speech because free speech implies neutrality?

    IMO, of course not, free speech does not imply neutrality. Are people free to comment, good or bad, on Musk's posts without personal threats. I believe they are. Are they blacklisted or shadow banned if they disagree? No. That's neutrality!

    But people were in the past;

    ---investigation reveals that teams of Twitter employees build blacklists, prevent disfavored tweets from trending, and actively limit the visibility of entire accounts or even trending topics — all in secret, without informing users,” ---

    For some insane reason it appears those in liberal circles, the ones that for years preached tolorance, now have none and feel the right thing to do is surpress or ban opinions they do not favor.

    @UNIMAN

     The concept of "free speech" is subjective and mythical, it is a good idea and has some valid points but it makes assumptions of human behavior that make it 100% impossible to ever happen and it never has.

    Free speech does not mean that you like the terms and conditions and thus it is free, it also does not mean that you agree with Musk and how he runs a private business and thus it is free speech. So Covers has rules and restrictions, guidelines for posting that eliminate the potential for free speech and because of abuses of members and basic human nature these guard rails are in place AND are in place everywhere. The social construct force the need to shape the idea of free speech and make it work in a society of people who are biased, abusive, warped, deranged etc etc. So for example I do not consider the way SOME people are abusive and attack people under the guise of legality and yet there are enough people who ALSO agree that this crap is tolerated and even celebrated but for sure minimized and validated...that is the exact reason why free speech fails to ever exist and is just a nice idea and nothing else.

    The concept is grey and not black and white so you and several others throw down the axe on Twitter for the ways they as a public company decided was best to protect their userbase AND follow a narrative that their leadership had. That decision does not make them any less free speech than the current gutter mouth wacko Musk who is biased, politically motivated and for sure not neutral. You just agree with his perspective and approach, but he is not running a free speech platform, nor can he or anyone in society.

    When you live with OTHERS you have to consider others in a society and try to protect others FROM free speech and that is because abusers of free speech will do harm to those in society who do not share their perspective and the guise of free speech implies that inherently there is no recourse to saying whatever you want, that is the root and core of free speech...and that is why it has never existed and never can.

    Instead of trying to paint Dorsey as bad and Musk as good, just say you agree with the way Musk runs his company and it fits your personal agenda rather than calling one free speech and the other not because neither are and never could be.

    The government paid them to censor.   Top officials lied to protect and go after those who oppose.  I guess that's what you do when you are wrong.

    @scooby-doos

     There is no black and white, the actions Dorsey took were within what he and that leadership felt were for the best good for their users and society. You have no idea why they decided what they did or to what extent they did NOR what their reasons were. It is flawed for you or anyone to paint a liberal perspective as worse than a conservative one because you are biased and your thought processes work as they do, I feel that a conservative approach is extremely flawed as is a liberal one. I find generations prior of a strong conservative society as destructive and negative to a large segment. A conservative agenda serves a certain segment and harms a different segment, same goes for a liberal agenda. The fact you try and paint lib vs conservative as lesser/better shows you are biased and not understanding of different perspectives.

    Unless you know 100% of all details about a situation you are wrong in drawing conclusions as you did above and often do and the fact you are unable to see WHY something might happen outside of a POLITICAL agenda shows you are needing to gain some perspective and not be as closed minded as you are.

    Hamas (Iran backed) attack on Israel ...

    This is on your head , Iran Lover Joe Biden.

    Joe is a friend of people chanting Death to Israel , Death to America.

    You have left these very same people through our gates , it is just a matter of time before this happens here.

    Stop trying to take our guns , thats the least Joe can do.

    Barrack Obama : " Dont underestimate Joe Biden's ability to fuck up things."

    This event today smells like a false flag, I noticed that the media IMMEDIATELY jumped to Iran, why is it that anything in the middle east its always how can the US go after Iran?

    The reality is that there are two groups wanting the same area, one has lived there for thousands of years, the other was given it without the other side agreeing so how can there ever be real peace when both want to wipe the other off the earth?
