This event today smells like a false flag, I noticed that the media IMMEDIATELY jumped to Iran, why is it that anything in the middle east its always how can the US go after Iran? The reality is that there are two groups wanting the same area, one has lived there for thousands of years, the other was given it without the other side agreeing so how can there ever be real peace when both want to wipe the other off the earth?
it does , i agree , it must have taken weeks for Hamas to plan this , 5,000 rockets on Israel within 2 hours without the intelligence on the ground noticing
I assume the goal is to take out Hamas for good , and bomb the hell out of Iran , nuclear sites
Let that Sink in . Afuera ! Elon and Vivek / DOGE ..Afuera !

I also find it strange how the Israel leader was ousted for cause and then maybe I am not remembering but it seemed with him out the incidents and violence decreased, but he comes back in and its like event after event and why did he run to the tv so fast today to say that they were going to retaliate and go on the offensive? How is stoking and antagonizing good for anyone there, his side or the other side?
To me the guy seems like a total war monger and has a strong agenda to provoke and attack, their expansion plans go against what seemed to be a more reasonable approach and why not try and be peaceful, talk to other world leaders and take time to assess instead of start the media campaign within moments of this happening?

During an interview with NBC Sunday morning, Blinken admitted that funding released to Iran - which funds Hamas and is celebrating the attacks - is used for terrorism. In September, the Biden administration released $6 billion to the regime.
"What do you say about the argument that money is fungible — so Iran may have known this money is coming and used other funds to help fund this attack?" Secretary of State Antony Blinken: "Iran has unfortunately always used and focused its funds on supporting terrorism"

How much do we fund Israel yearly and what kind of weapons do we provide to them? Terrorism is not a one way street in that region especially when Israel was given land and authority without agreement from many regional countries and people. I would say we are more guilty allowing Israel to work towards elimination of one group as that same group is for their actions.
Even though we do not see eye to eye with some in that region, we cant be shocked when some of them work together to try and remove the group who was in their minds illegally given territory and who actively engage in the destruction of most who are not of their collective.

@Rush51 You call Twitter "free speech"? That is for sure a conservative minded way to look at it. I see it now as Musk's ultra conservative platform to push his goofy narrative and try to use his Tesla cash to try and offend as many liberals as possible. I dont consider twitter any more free speech than it was before. What Musk USES it for is just the inverse of what it was used for before. The members/users of the site are not much if any different outside one narrative vs another. Musk is no more free speech than any other extremist. On the topic of the wall, what I find most intriguing is how again the GOP wants to use any and every sliver of opportunity to bash the other side, there is no room for understanding or common ground, no way of changing perspective or thinking in a new way...its the toxic Trump/Gaetz mindset that the only way to win is to torch the other side and those means are not important, the destruction and division do not matter. This or any wall is a waste of time when the other side of the wall has ZERO incentive or motivation to take ANY action to stop the flow coming to the wall in the first place. The will to enter or to gain access is greater than any wall could ever be. And the cost is borne completely by the taxpayer and that is multi TRILLIONS of dollars and a cost that never ends, never goes down..only up..
Twitter "is" more about free speech than it ever was under previous management. First example, it intentionally silenced information related to Hunters laptop in the lead up to the 2020. Other liberal outlets like NY Times and FB also silenced this information, or called it Russia disinformation.
It explains why Musk bought Twitter in the first place. And Musk was fed up w the bullshit and " moderating content " that Twitter was doing. And most importantly, had the means to end this nonsense on Twitter.
Is Twitter perfect ? No, but it's better than before Musk bought them.

It seems the death count on Israel is going to approach 1k people, if not more.. it's nuts to call this a false flag operation ; to suggest that Israel baited an attack so it could go after Hamas and / or Iran w heavy attack.
And now that IRAN helped in the coordination/ financing of this attack, they've got blood on their hands, too. The timing of this attack is not random. It took place almost 50 years to the day of Yom Kippur.

The way that the narrative IMMEDIATELY went to Iran was very disturbing and the fact that the Israeli intelligence had no idea what was going on is a head scratcher to me. From what I am watching on various shows they are bringing out person after person to form an extreme narrative that feels like a dragnet to lure the US into going after Iran, Syria etc etc and we know where that leads.
Why are we hearing all the extreme one-sided details but nothing as to the truth about both sides causing this type of situation to be always just a second or two away from happening? I think that PM is on the war path and this just gives him opportunity to try and exterminate Hamas and get help from NATO countries in the process.
I can say this, if we get lured in, the consequences will be extremely bad for the US, Israel trying to draw a line and convince us to join is the wrong decision and that region is one we are better to stay completely out of and for sure not commit more money or weapons or troops to.

I fear there could be much larger context to this, considering that China-Russia-Iran form an axis of evil. You think Israel has some grand ambitions on this, and wanted an excuse to go after Iran.... I disagree...I fear the the axis of evil are the ones who could be contemplating something larger. That would make much more sense to me.. We do know China wants to reunify Taiwan. What better opportunity than when we are sending a carrier group to the Mediterranean .
This whole situation is flat out dangerous for everyone involved...

I noticed you didn’t mention George Bush’s war on terror the 20 years and the trillions dollars unsuccessfully trying to stabilize the country. As far the weapons they were to be used by the government of Afghanistan that the US set up, but it collapsed immediately as you seen……Yes I know Joe Biden trained each and every one of them too!

This is more of what the officials are saying about Iranian involvement as well, if that is what you are asking for?
The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that Iranian security officials approved Hamas' plan to attack Israel during a meeting in Beirut last Monday. Hamas and Hezbollah leaders said Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps worked with Hamas since August on air, land and sea attack plans.
A European official who works as adviser to the Syrian government corroborated the Hamas and Hezbollah leaders' claims, according to the Wall Street Journal, though U.S. officials say they have not seen evidence of Iran's involvement in the attacks.
"We have not yet seen evidence that Iran directed or was behind this particular attack, but there is certainly a long relationship," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on CNN Sunday.

Administration officials said Saturday that no money in the Doha account so far has been spent.
The $6 billion figure is not U.S. taxpayer money, senior Biden administration officials stressed at the time of the deal, but rather payments made by South Korea to Iran to buy oil in recent years. The funds had been stuck in South Korea due to U.S. sanctions. That money is now held in a restricted account in Doha, and is meant to be used for solely humanitarian purposes — such as food and medicine for Iranians — and handled by what the administration described as vetted non-Iranian vendors.

Actually the Iraq x2 example is pretty good, it is what I am alluding to that the US media is forming a narrative just the same way Bush CIA and Bush II did, taking a situation and forming a calculated and completely fabricated and unrelated narrative because the directive was met. Israel does not want to go after Iran, Israel would be THRILLED if the US got in the middle and joined them in eliminating Palestine, Syria, Iran pretty much anyone against their illegal land grab and abuses to all in the region.
So this turns from Palestine as the bad guy to Iran because even though I keep hearing the words "Oh there is not currently a connection to Iran but it STILL COULD HAPPEN" that keeps being piped out there...gee I wonder why that is.
The concept of a narrative being formed out of a situation has been played over and over, time after time and the opportunity is there for Iran to get nabbed yet again, but that would be a massive mistake. If anything the US should take this opportunity to tell ALL SIDES to knock it off including Israel.

Gotcha. Yes, that may seem confusing. What they are referring to is the acknowledgement of their past funding with the monies they make from oil, etc.
Even at the time there were concerns about pushback because of them aiding Russia against Ukraine. You have to keep in mind why there are sanctions in place in the first place. There was also no clarification on the nuclear ambitions, etc.
So, what Blinken is sayin is that it is well established that Iran funds terrorism and he cannot say some of this money cannot be used as well, even though this is supposedly money that is being Fred up for food and various humanitarian uses.
So, that was the gist of the question he was being asked.
Now you can see the concerns others have about this. This is a quote from an article before these attacks and before the money was released:

The deal with Iran is likely to be controversial in the US at a time when Iran is arming Russia in support of its invasion of Ukraine, supplying large quantities of drones that are being used to bomb civilian targets, and there is no agreement on the scope of Iran’s nuclear programme.
The administration went out of its way to stress that no US money was involved, and Iran would only be able to use the money for approved humanitarian purchases, which were already exempt from sanctions.
“This is money that the previous administration allowed Iran to make and keep in a special accounts, Watson said. “They let Iran spend billions of dollars of it and got nothing in return.”
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi, complained there was decreasing pressure on Iran over its lack of cooperation wi
Addressing the IAEA board of governors on Monday, Grossi said there had been no progress in talks with Tehran over its removal of IAEA monitoring equipment from sensitive sites, and the failure to explain the discovery of highly enriched uranium particles by IAEA inspectors.
Grossi described a “decrease in interest” among IAEA member states, without naming them.
“There is a certain routinisation of what is going on there, and I am concerned about this, because the issues are as valid today as they were before,” he told reporters on the first day of the board of governors’ meeting in Vienna.

The planning for the Israeli attack went unnoticed by the biden administration because they prioritized climate change, diversity/inclusion and giving money to terrorists over the safety of the US and it's allies.
The definition of diversity and inclusion is less white people.

Joe Pockets is right. Republicans are falsely blaming Biden's prisoner exchange for Hamas attack on Israel according to MSNBC and Media matters. Fox news Griffin reveals that none of the $6 billion has been spent. It remains in banks under US treasury watch. Trump administration had similar deals with Iran being allowed to withdraw funds for purchasing humanitarian goods and non-sanctioned items verified by US treasury.

Well you act as if this is the first or worst, it is not. There have been exponential lives lost on all sides and all are responsible. There is not one good guy and all bad guys in that area and to me if the US just keeps appeasing Israel and thus condemning anyone else who is not Israel, this will keep happening and even worse the day to day loss of life will continue.
This has been an issue since the OT and well before, that region has zero chance at peace because all parties cannot co-exist, all want the other completely gone and not to return and that will never happen so the chance of any long term peace is remote at best.
So yes the correct way to be involved is to not play sides and hold all responsible, not just for a brutal event but for decades and thousands of years of this over and over and over.
