I'll have a little insight to add to this "yuge" story later involving recent events not related to the Dominion lawsuit forcing Fox News to surrender.....but right now I have several hours volunteer work at my local Veterans Association.......later
In sudden and timing of Carlson departure from Fox news, Dominion lawsuit disclosures and others cannot be ignored. Rare for a news organization to lose a defamation lawsuit. Usually plaintiffs win 10% of the time while most cases are dismissed in courts. However Fox news has no viable defense because of big errors. Potentially losing billions of dollars in lawsuits is a recipe for personnel firings. Since Carlson isn't given a chance to say goodbye, this appears to be a termination. Perhaps because of his criticisms of Fox executives? His producers are also gone. After previous star O'Reilly was fired in 2017, Fox news continued to prosper. So anyone is replaceable. Meanwhile there are celebrations on twitter.

Reports are phuckerCarlson only learned of his firing just 10 mins before public announcement. He was shocked!

I agree Third, it is rare for a major network news organization to lose a defamation lawsuit. But help me with something please, did FOX lose a defamation lawsuit? Was there a court decision made against FOX news? Please fact check this for me, I honestly might have missed something in the news but I thought I read FOX settled for like almost $800 million?

Afterall, the MAGA viewers don't seem to mind as long as the host is making them feel victimized, fills them with outrage, constant grievances, and points the finger at everyone else, especially BLM, Biden, and the democrats. The truth is irrelevent. Just keep feeding them their favorite kool-aid.
Obviously, Dominion won the lawsuit. Fox news is forced to pay almost $800 million. If Fox won, the judge would have dismissed the case before trial stage and Dominion would receive nothing. Instead evidences are so overwhelming that Fox really has no viable defense which is extraordinary for a defamation lawsuit. Normally, majority of lawsuits are settled outside of court but that doesn't mean Fox didn't lose.

Awe, I see, it is your opinion that FOX "lost" this lawsuit....OK I get it. I respect your opinion in this matter. From a legal standpoint though it is considered a settlement, which is a compromise between two parties. No prosecution occurs which results in no legal judgment (win/loss) made.
We are not privy to the inner workings of FOX, Dominion and this case.....who knows, maybe $800mm was a great deal for FOX, maybe they were scared it could've been a few more Bill, idk (nor do I care) but you get my point....

CNN; The sheriff said he "believes" the victims are from Honduras. Capers said authorities have a copy of the suspect’s consulate card and are looking for him. CNN has reached out to authorities for more information.

FOX NEWS; Capers told Bluebonnet News that the victims WERE from Honduras. The suspected shooter is a "Mexican male from Mexico." The sheriff's office has a copy of his consular identification card.
THE WHOLE SHERIFF'S STATEMENT IS RIGHT THERE ON VIDEO. FUNNY HOW CNN CHANGED IT TO "SHERIFF BELIEVES VICTIMS ARE FROM HONDURAS. NO, HE SAID THEY WERE. AND THEN CNN OMITS THE MEXICAN MALE FROM MEXICO PART. 
Now that would make Joe look bad with open borders, gotta twist it and soften it best we can.

And I feel for the dead and survivors who came here to try and find a better place only to be killed by another who came here with the mentality those good folks were trying to escape from. Open borders will do that!

So they finally come out and say the suspect had been deported but say ABBOTT SAID SO.

See how the AP spins it. Yes Abbott said they were Hundurans because "officials had already confirmed". And "local law enforcement" did not confirm citizenship, other officials did.

US would be far less divided by culture wars over abortion, LGBTQ rights and public schools. No political party would sanction demonization of immigrants.
