What meaningful legislation does the GOP plan to introduce?

Excellent post. It’s amazing how many voters will back idiots in Congress who bring nothing of value back to their districts (Bobert, MTG, McCarthy). The whole point of Congress is to represent the people who voted you in and get them stuff that improves their lives. So many failures on the GOP Dotard side it’s amazing. Your Congressmen should at least be trying to get your districts more funding, and not worrying about whether an asshat with a Marmot wig appreciates your latest toadyism

House republicans push risky bill to prioritize payments if the treasury department runs out of emergency measures to prevent debt default.  So debt interest is paid before social security and medicare followed by defense and veteran benefits.   Instead of defaulting on bond holders, food stamp recipients and others wouldn't be paid.  So bill is really about cutting spending.  Problem is that it cannot prevent default.

Still no budget proposal from GOP after release of Biden budget.  But yahoo news expect GOP budget to be a disaster.  Capping government spending at 2022 level for a decade would increase costs for families, endanger public health, export jobs and weaken national security.  Spending cuts wouldn't reduce the deficit because they would go to paying for tax cuts to the rich. 

Well the house and Senate with the president signature managed to over turn Washington d.c police reform initiative.

Yes they all stated that d.c leaders can't go ern themselves.... Blocking all reforms made at the city council level.....

For political reasons to avoid appearing soft on crime, both democrats and republicans deny DC council self government.  However criminal code is almost a century old and dangerously obsolete in need of updating approved by most voters.  Some of the reforms include reducing excess sentences to match modern sentences and more scrutiny of police using excess force.

The “soft on crime” is such a tired trope. I once saw a Repub in his 30s beat an incumbent GOP grandma for a state House seat because he sent out 100,000 mailers saying she was soft on crime and pro sexual assault. Of course she wasn’t either, but she still lost easily. The masses are easily confused

House GOP inroduces new "parental rights bill" which is unlikely to be approved by senate or white house.  5 republicans vote against bill because they believe education should be a local instead of a federal matter.  Democrats reject this bill because it doesn't improve parents involvement but instead encourage culture wars in schools.

House GOP energy bill is unlikely to pass in senate and white house.  Under current policies, US already has record production of oil and natural gas.  Bill is a big giveaway to big oil companies earning record profits while holding thousands of unused leases on public lands.  Republicans refuse to hold big polluters accountable for environmental damage and global warming.  Global markets limit the impact of domestic energy policies on reducing prices.  To avoid being at its mercy, US needs to diversify by developing more renewable energy instead of erratic and dirty fossil fuels.  However bill would set US back in transition to cheaper clean energy economy and undermine progress in fight against climate change in the long term.

Let me ask both of you something:  So you completely endorse the fleecing of the "U.S. Taxpayer" to fund projects in "your districts."  My feeling is that there are a lot of people like you that want that handout $$ coming to your district from the Federal Government.  I will say it again.  You are screwing the American Taxpayer who is already $32Trillion in debt.  Does that resonate with either of you at all ?? 

Perhaps the Representatives that you ridicule (MTG, McCarthy) recognize this, and so do "their constituents (i.e. voters) " .  They really don't want any handouts from the Federal Government.  These people would rather prefer that the Federal Government just get the hell out of their lives, endorse fiscal responsibility,  just and let personal responsibility take over..  More government spending is bigger government (bad).  

 There is something to be said to "a minimalist" approach to government.  Less is better. 

This is false.  Record production occurred under Trump administration.  Remember, those pesky regulations that Biden assumed on day 1 is the "big" reason gas prices are so high.  We don't need new regulation or bills passed in congress to address the issue !
