Welcome to the cesspool sub forum.....you've got my priorities all wrong but no worries......I should've highlighted the following on the OP's verison but I was responding to Mr. Hutch for a vastly different reason you are taking it as....   

Voters that have backed a straight party ticket all their lives and the crowd that consistently votes for the better liar, even when they know he is liar to begin with.

My apologies....that was the bigger piece of my point.  Identity politics.  Identifying as a person by way of political party.  Tribal politics.  Its not so much people backing idiots who bring nothing to their districts.  It is about the self identification of their party side and blindly backing whichever stooge is presented because their party narrative tells them to.  Not thinking for themselves, inability to make their own informed decisions.  The many sheeple amongst the wolves.  

I've written enough in this cesspool sub for a small novel on the subject and others..... Our political system is broken and has been for quite some time.  Handout?  Me?  Lmao.  You're getting it twisted my friend..... Zero ideas, zero legislation, zero solutions, zero accountability.

No healthcare, tax improvements, education investments or immigration reform.

She wanted to be Governor & now she's governor. She told her constituents they had a right to be free of socialism & tyranny.  In January, she said "As long as I am your Governor, the meddling hand of big government creeping down from DC will be stopped cold at the Mississippi river."

Now she wants the federal government to pay 100% of the recovery cost for her state of Arkansas after their last tornado.

Problem is that republicans are out of touch with ordinary people.  Their policies are unpopular with independent and democrat voters.   For examples, abortion ban, culture war, no gun control, spending cuts on social programs, anti-vaccine, no government action against climate change and lower taxes for the rich.  In contrast, Biden administration address kitchen table issues.

What?? AOC and the always completely evil Democrats are breaking into homes and stealing our appliances now?!?! OMG! Next thing you know those always completely evil Democrats are going to demand clean drinking water and lower drug prices for Americans! Those bastids!

I see no one has answered this great question still....why is that exactly?? 

I'm just gonna stop posting and quote Nature all the time, dude is 100% in "getting it".  You people need to make note, educate yourselves.  Be better.  

US is a country that is build from wars.   In presidential system, division of powers with multiple checks and balances ensure adversity and gridlock in government.  Everyone is supposed to oppose everybody.  However most stable democracies have a parliamentary system that encourages consensus and cooperation among several parties.

Attack on democracy to expel two democrat lawyers for a minor infraction.  Not a crime to join protesters calling for gun control to protect children.  Police confirms peaceful protests.  No arrests, no violence, no property damage, no insurrection, no entry into building without going through security and no march on House chamber floor.  University of Washington study reveals that Tennessee ranks last in democracy in the US.  Trend shows democracy deteriorating in mostly republican states.

It’s easier to legislate against imaginary problems than to solve real ones. Florida has the nation’s biggest insurance crisis, yet the GOP keeps trying to sweep that under the rug because it’s really inconvenient.

I’d say the Dodd-Frank legislation passed by Obama and Biden was really important. The Volcker Rule was definitely needed. Too bad Trump repealed it in 2017 with Mick Mulvaney, who led the league in bank lobbyist cash.

It was like one of the first things he did in office and it completely flew under the radar.

Funny how it flew completely under the radar and gets completely ignored by the GOP. Can’t let the dotards get away with that. They’re too busy fapping over Team MAGA Dotard politics while the rest of us just don’t want goddamned banking lobbyists running the country.

Oh wait … it’s a bill designed to fail and cause the US to not raise its debt limit. You see, the Dotard GOP is in denial about its record deficit spending while Dotard J Trump was El Presidente. Someone needs to inform these godless idiots that undermining the “full faith and credit” of the US violates their oath of office. In other words - and not surprising - Trump’s ball washers are guilty of sedition and treason AGAIN.

If the GOP wanted to show a change in its unconstitutional and ungodly behavior, they’d consider making Tim Scott the 2024 candidate. But naoooooo, the GOP has a strict policy against black candidates being a viable candidate for president. (May be one of the reasons Trump infected and killed Herman Cain on the campaign trail - he was terrified of being primaried by Cain!) 

Still waiting to see resolution to Florida’s insurance crisis. After all, hurricane season waits for no one …

As of this time there does not appear to be any significant republican STAND ALONE proposals that have even a reasonable chance for floor debate IN BOTH CHAMBERS anytime in the forseeable future

 Republicans are lying about immigration.  They claim Biden does not want to secure border.  Yet he has consistently asked for extra funding but has been consistently denied by House GOP.  Johnson refuses to allow a House vote on immigration deal even if Senate agrees to pass one.  Presidents can only operate within laws and funding from congress.  Congress is most responsible for large numbers of immigrants at border because of a lack of legal pathways to enter US.  For decades, congress has failed to agree on reforms to handle .immigration caused by chaos in Latin American countries.

Project 2025 paper reveals republican authoritarian plans for the future if Trump is elected.  First, use of insurrection act to put down any protests and deploy military against American citizens in cities.  Dictator Trump promises to target enemies like "vermin."  Secondly, destroy what remains of reproductive rights by imposing national abortion ban and crack down on availability of abortion drugs. 

He also has designs on "weaponizing" the IRS and DOJ to go after all who dared criticize him, including the press

Isn't peculiar that the conman who chastises Biden for "allegedly"  weaponizing the DOJ to go after him - whilst whining incessantly that it is wrong to do that - would then seek to actually do that himself in reality!
