Not since Week 10 has Adrian Peterson surpassed 100 yards in a game. During that stretch, he averaged a paltry 66 ypg, when the Vikings won but three (removing the debacle, scrimmage of a win that was the NY Giants contest). Childress is not a game adjusting or studying coach, and it clearly was reflected at the tail-end, and all the while on the road, not winning those last two months on opposing fields.

The Saints are being severely discounted as for Sunday. Brees' numbers in New Orleans (merely 4 INTs and the OL yielded only 9 sacks) rival Favre's home stats. While it is a sort of homecoming for Favre, he isn't in Minnesota this week.

"All Day" Peterson has to have a bust out game, of course, in order to keep the Saints multiple weapon arsenal off the field. Kevin Williams and Ray Edwards are at least questionable, and certainly hobbling (have yet to practice this week). A constant double-team on Jared Allen neutralizes an otherwise heavy Vikings pass rush. Again, too much is expected of a depleted LB corps of Minnesota. Can't be done two weeks consecutive - least of all in the playoffs. That, and the Vikings are a completely different animal on the road (apart from unimpressive wins at Cleveland, Detroit, and Saint Louis. Laugh).   

No one is tempted by the Saints due to this hook? Would STILL take New Orleans, even if it were above 4 points.

Check Out the Teams Rosters. Saints clearly have the size advantage with an exception for Rice on Minn @ 6'4" and 202 LBS. He will be going up against Jabari Greer (5'11") on the Left side and Porter (5'11") on the Right side. Safety Darren Sharper (6'2") won't allow any big plays from his former team mates.

Offensive line of the Saints are all well over 300Lbs, and noted to be one of the best line in the NFL. The rush "D" was clearly apparent last week against AZ CARDS whom were at one point ranked #4 in the league. That was the "D" that showed up and they are healthy once again. Vikings will be the ones playing from behind.

Anyway back to this game....I'm on the Vikings on this one but getting worried about Harvin, Williams, and Edwards still not being able to practice for the Vikings due to injury.

Harvin would be a key loss for the Vikings on establishing great field position on special teams. Williams and Edwards will also be a key loss on defense.

Hoping come game time they will all be on the field.

1) As far as Harvin for Minn. I do agree that he gives them some great field position, but if you saw the game vs. AZ Cards, Saints kicking team kept putting it well into the enzone and I believe a few of them were just kneel downs. I expect the same this weekend.

2) Darren Sharper not only played for Minn. Vikings but played with Brett Favre for 8 years with GreenBay before that. He is well versed on Farves tendencies. www.sunherald.com is a newspaper on line with all this info and then some.

3) Did you know that the Defensive coordinator for the Saints is Gregg Williams? Former Coordinator of the Washington Redskins defense whom at one point of this past regular season the #1 passing defense in the NFL. Minn. Vikings is more of a passing team than other.

4) Revenge is on the minds of all Saints players for they have loss to the Vikings since 2001. This is also the only 2nd time in 43 years of franchise history to be in the NFC championship. Never won a Super Bowl so if that isn't an extra motivation for them, I don't know what is.

I'm not tryin to change your mind but those facts and stats are unarguably unignorable. Wouldn't you agree?

I read alot of posts here and sometimes get very valuable information. other times too much drama.

well my pick would be the vikings. I feel that their defense will slow down the saints enough to get out of NO with a 6 point victory. What would be a better storyline for the nfl and better for ticket sales. The saints versus either of the AFC teams or farve versus manning. The 4 time mvp against the 3 time mvp. Farve has all sorts of passing records that manning may beat. Or farve versus the NYJ the team he played for last season. Farve in his last game  against a rookie in sanchez.. I may be crazy but  Ifeel that the vikings win this one due to their defense and also the "Conspiracy Theory"..
