replied to Am I alone? it’s not even winning money that makes me gamble in NFL Betting I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t jazzed more when having a good run of success and pulled money out of my account. Then I listened to a podcast by Anna Lembke, bought her book Dopamine nation and got my clarity. As profound of book as I had ever read helped me understand it wasn’t the winning or losing that gave me the rush, it was the uncertainty of not knowing what would happen the minute I hit the submit button, that was the ultimate dopamine rush. created a topic Betting Question in NHL Betting Guys, I could use your feedback on a grading result. At the beginning of the year I asked a guy to lay $50 on the Jets to win the Western Conference. In my head, I am thinking if the Jets get to the Cup, I have won this bet. My friend did not end up placing this bet, he kept the $50 and gave me +2000 odds. When chatting with him last night he referenced he won the bet, now that Nashville has earned most points in the Western Conference. My argument is all that has done is given him the number one seed and they only time they hang up a banner is when you win the Clarence Campbell trophy. Do you guys know how your book would grade picking a team to win the Western Conference? Is it most points during the regular season or winning the conference at the end of the playoffs?
