On the bright side, he probably got a bunch of free hours of internet CDs as a severance package.

What's the best way? I've done Western Union in the past, but lots of hoops to jump through.
Is a pre-paid Visa the way to go? Which card is the best? Thanks. |

The bad hold call on the Wilfork flop was a huge play in the game.
Momentum killer. |

Almost everything I've read or heard has been about the Giants being lucky to have won the Super Bowl. And they were.
One of the idiots on Around the Horn said that Brady could have five Super Bowl rings. Right. He could also have zero. The Pats were lucky to have won their three (Tuck rule, kickoff out of bounds against Carolina, McNabb vomiting, etc.) as well. I just looked at Brady's career stats. The years they won, he was pretty mediocre. As he's become more prolific statistically, his playoff wins have gone down. Point being - the Patriots have never won a Super Bowl because they've relied too much on Brady. It was a team effort. In a way, he was Joe Montana at the start of his career and he's ending it as Marino. |

Yeah, sportsbooks ARE NOT a revenue generator for casinos.
There is a reason they are always in the back of the casino and sometimes hard to find. They want you to play slots, table games and eat food. To think casinos would gamble to make money on a certain side is ridiculous. It's all about the juice. There's a reason why betting exchanges are the most profitable Internet sports betting operations - guaranteed money with minimal risk. |

Record for Teams who Eliminated Defending Champ? I heard it Lastyr after Seattle Beat NO.....

Giants beat San Fran in San Fran and then beat the Bills in the Super Bowl in 1991, so not sure where you are getting that 0-13 SU number from.

I don't understand why people are saying the BCS Title Game needs the best two teams.
The point of the BCS Championship is to figure out the BEST team in the country. LSU and Alabama very well may be the best two teams in the country. We know that Alabama isn't the best team because they lost to LSU on the field of play. Is Alabama better than Oklahoma State? Maybe, but it doesn't matter. Who cares about the second best tem in the country? We want to know who the best team is and the only way of figuring that out is LSU vs. OSU. |

LSU is the SEC champion. To become champion, they beat Alabama on the road. OSU is the Big 12 champion. Yes, they lost, but they are still the champions. So, we know that LSU>Alabama. If there is a rematch and Alabama wins, it just opens up a whole new can of worms. Alabama may be better than OSU, but that doesn't matter, it's who is better than LSU. We know for sure Alabama is not, so OSU should be given a chance. This happened in 2006/2007. It should happen in 2011/2012 for the sake of consistency and to show the BCS is the 'scientific' system it claims to be. |

Remember when Florida jumped over Michigan in the final BCS standings?
Why should 2011 be any different? Everyone who voted Florida over Michigan said that the final standings are cumulative, while all other polls are the best teams that week. A couple of more points. - I know this is a betting forum, but margin of victory/loss shouldn't determine who plays in the BCS title game. - There seem to be two camps regarding the BCS Title game. The best two teams and the two deserving teams. Both camps would probably want playoffs, but because that's not the case, the argument is always, "the college football season is the playoffs". Well, if that's the case, Alabama lost the playoffs already. They had their shot. And they lost. I think it's OSU to get their chance. We can talk all we want about spreads, mathematical formulas, strength of conferences, and records against ranked teams ad nauseum. They are all bullshit. Because anything can happen on the field - it just matters who is the best team that day. |
