Larger the spread the more common it is for a team to win and not cover. This year it seems like there are more double digit spreads than usual. replied to BOWL GUIDE 2016-17 in College Football A note from a guy who covers Georgia... I mostly came out here today to see if the recent 24 hours generated any momentum on the practice field. With the recent announcement of Chubb, Michel, Carter, and Bellamy and the verbal commitment of Isaiah Wilson, it seems like there is an energy there that normally wouldn't be surrounding a 7-5 football team practicing in 40 degree weather. Bowl practices are pretty useless for the media, but it was cool to see the energy out there today. Like Dean and I have preached all year, this team is trending in the right direction.
