People who think the game is fixed just because they didn’t kick the field goal should not be betting on football. The same scenario has played out so many times in the past. When a team is up by that much, the respectful thing to do is go for it on 4th. You think they’re trying to keep it under by not kicking a meaningless field goal? But you don’t think it’s fixed when they’re still slinging it 40+ yards downfield when they could’ve easily ran the ball to burn clock? |

Air force up 41-21 with 5:45 in the 3rd... Came away with points every drive up to that point. Last 3 drives: fumble in their own territory, fumble in their own territory, 3 and out. |

I do think he favored the Cubs a little, but I think it’s because the dude is from Colorado and lives in Colorado. It’s his job to call the game evenly, but I’m sure he was trying to overcompensate a little just because he didn’t want the world to think he was favoring the Rockies. |

I’m very happy she lost. She accuses the umpire of attacking her character, but then calls him a thief? Is that not attacking his character? |

I’m not one of the hardcore theorists who believe that everything in sports is fixed, but I also don’t think it’s 100% legitimate either. This morning Mike Greenberg made a very subtle comment that caught me off guard. Before they dissected the game from last night, he said something along the lines of “everyone was betting on the falcons, so it’s no surprise the eagles won”. On covers we talk about that all the time. Scott Van Pelt says the same thing on his nightly show when he gives his football picks for the weekend. I just thought it would be nice to start a thread to discuss all this without one side bashing the other. I’ve lost many games where I felt like I was on the wrong side of the fix, but I’ve also been on the side that benefited from a few bad calls or some mistakes. It’s just part of the game. If you can’t handle that, you shouldn’t bet. The falcons had a very good chance of winning last night. 1st and 10 at the eagles 10 yard line with 23 seconds left, I actually thought they were going to score. I was on the eagles, so I’m watching the game thinking “Yep. This is where they fkkk me. This is how I’m going to lose today”, but luckily they didn’t. If the refs (on behalf of the NFL/Vegas) wanted the eagles to win, they shouldn’t have thrown the flag on that 4th down play which gave the falcons one more shot. Calls get missed all the time. They could’ve easily let that go and that would’ve been game over.

I have a $300 parlay that pays $6,000 if Belgium wins the World Cup (got them at 5:1) sportsbook is offering $1,470 to cash out now. I have a $300 parlay that pays $9,150 if England wins the World Cup (got them at 8:1) sportsbook is offering $2,000 to cash out now. I have a $1,100 bet that pays $9,900 if France wins the World Cup (got them at 9:1) sportsbook is offering $3,000 to cash out now. What should I do here? Let France and Belgium play and guarantee myself one in the final and hope that England advance as well? Or should I cash out on France at $3,000 and hope Belgium and England advance? |

England in extra time is +725 on sportsbook.ag. That translates to 7.25-1. Nobody would offer 950-1 |

They let me put $500 on the -1.5 (+360) $823 on them to win in regulation +215 And $2,697 on ML +130 |

I had +360 with Bovada, but they only let me put $500 on it. Had to put money on them to win in regulation too, but I’m so glad they won and covered! |

On the other side. One of my luckiest wins. SMU missed an uncontested layup in the final seconds which would’ve killed my -8. |

After watching that second set, you have to see the guy’s point. Wozniacki tried her best to not win in that set. |
