Anyone else here ever quit your job and move to Vegas to try and live the dream like CG?
in General Discussion
not too long ago i was hanging out with couple of my work buddies. We were hanging and talking about getting a place together One of them mentioned vegas. fast forward some work Stuff. We drove to vegas found a nice condo. Went back to cali packed our bags couple days later drove all our stuff to our new condo in vegas. we all saved a lot of money when we worked We were young no wives no kids.
We all were sportbettors. One knew everything about ncaa and nba ball. Other knew a little about all sports. My specialty was mlb, mma, nba and nfl. Our first lease was for a year. One of my roomates handled all the bills so I paid him a year worth of rent so I had no worries. Nobody got a job cause we all saved a lot from our previous job. We bet sports almost every day and we were winning. This went on for 3 years. We all got burnt out and decided to move back to cali. It was awesome some of the best moments of my life. Rent was $900 total a month Utilities were about $150 each. Best cable and internet lol Food.. we ate out everyday |

Don't call strippers to your room !! Try sapphires... You could go on their website they'll send a limo to pick you guys up for free. Or find one of those dudes in suits outside near the valet they offer free rides to the strip club and free drinks |

Lived in vegas for 3 years with a couple buddies. Some of the best times I ever had.
The good- 24 hour lifestyle Cheap rent. We lived in a huge house Food is awesome and very affordable. I ate out everyday. Friends visited almost every week. From cali so only 4 hour drive Tons of events, met a lot of famous people The bad- Hate the weather Tough making friends. It was hard to trust people there

FrozenTundra- yeah i agree with you on Murray, just only if he could stay healthy for a whole season skys the limit for him. I ended up trading him today which i do kinda regret but overall i think it helped me.
bizkilla- i know you told me to stay put but i couldnt lol. So i ended up trading Randall Cobb and Stevan Ridley for Arian Foster and Ty Hilton. Then traded foster for Marshawn Lynch. Then traded Demarco Murray for Marques Colston. So this is how my team sits right now QB- Cam Newton and Michael Vick RB- Doug Martin, Marshawn Lynch, Lamar Miller and Chris Ivory WR-AJ Green, Dez Byrant, Marques Colston, James Jones, TY Hilton and Mike Williams TE-Owen Daniels D- Seattle |

Try OG's every time me and my buddies have a big trip we'd go there for one night. Every time we're there the girls would always sit down and hangout with us lapdances or no lapdances, maybe because we're loud and look friendly but who knows.
talk to a cab driver most of them could get you in a stripclub for free and sometimes even throw in a few drinks. I've struck a deal with a cab driver where he drove 4 of us to a stripclub got us in free and everyone gave him $10 each this including cab fare.

The cash game action right now is vegas is awesome. Every poker room i went to had a list of people waiting and everyone that was playing poker had a ton of cash.

Harrahs and Caesars are under the same company. They just started the resort fee thing a few months ago. If you book thru their total rewards your resort fee should be waived. i recently stayed at Caesars, PH, harrahs and the Rio and they all got waived.

Anyone going? playing any events or cash games?
Staying at the Rio/Wynn first week and Ballys second week. TIP for first timers- If youre going to the Wsop for the first time and staying for a while, book multiple rooms. Staying at one casino for more than 4 days will burn you out.

Played in a cash game with jamie gold not too long ago. it was a $500 buy in cash game. after he went bust he dug in his pocket and had only $200 and asked the table if it was okay for him to short buy. No one had a problem. The few times i played with him i've never seen him win and usually goes bust pretty fast.

Orange county.
Are you moving near Sunset station or GVR? I use to live around the sunset station area, loved it out there. Way cheaper than here, 24 hour life and i love to party and gamble lol. Moved back for work. But i'll be back soon. Enjoy it and good luck

Just got back from vegas this morning, went for one week for the Pac 12 tournament. March 12-18.
Stayed at the MGM where the tournament was at. Place was a zoo coachs, players and fans were all over the place. Every restaurant line was huge. Craps tables packed 24/7 and sports book never had any seating and making a bet took forever. Strip clubs and clubs were packed. Had to buy bottle service everywhere. So just giving everyone a little insight how march madness is gonna be. GOOD LUCK FYI i dodged all the sports betting crowd by going to the tropicana. Barely anyone was there and their book is wayyy better than the MGM's book

Sportsbook isn't all that great, small and it gets pretty full but it gets the job done. They are pretty generous with drink tickets though. Food- harrahs you get kgb burger which is awesome. Next door at the quad there's hash house. Casino Royale you get subway, small pizza joint. Across the street you get the mirage. and there is a mcdonalds, chipotle, panda express 10 steps away from harrahs. hotel- overall I like it. Clean and comfy rooms. Marble bathrooms and LCD tvs. Have fun and good luck |
