replied to need advice/help... need to vent.. in NFL Betting I know the feeling. I went 14/15 last week for $1450. It sucks and Seattle screwed a lot of people yesterday in ML parlays and teasers. Sometimes we have to bet what we think WILL happen not what we expect SHOULD happen. It's the hardest thing to do. Bet on something you have a bad feeling about but look how often we get burnt by one or two upsets. There's always next week. However, over the years I have learned one important thing when it comes to predicting sports outcomes... Dont let logic influence your wagers. I have been beaten over and over again using these logical arguments to try and "beat the system". N.F.L = Not Feasible Logic having said all that I am going to parlay everything you picked except the DET/SD game. I can see that one going to OT and staying a tie! replied to Betting system for 2015 in NFL Betting TIMEOUT..there is no fool proof system in betting sports. There sure is a system for fools. Listen i have gambled more than most of you combined. When it comes to sports ANYTHING can happen. Remember that. A ref can miss a call. A player or multiple players can get injured, suspended, or ejected from a game. No system can account for every variable in sports. Ever. It's like trying to predict the future. You can be pretty darn sure but never certain. Never. Think about all the times you;ve had a good feeling about a bet and it lost. Well shucks how'd we miss that one? Only to follow that feeling up with another better smarter more analytical feeling?! Woops we missed again. Surely we cant get 3 bets in a row wrong can WE?! Darn. I missed again. OK gonna take the favorie -360 at home...cant miss right?! WRONG. This isnt pessimism. It's realism. I wanna make money betting sports in the long run, retire and call it quits but it aint that easy. My advice is try to smash a parlay or 2 each year. Try to break even at worse each year and be satisfied with that. Otherwise...get a job you can tolerate and hang on for the ride! Rarely is it smart to tease the favorite and Ohio St. could get blown out by a mighty Oregon Defense as well as Heisman trophy winner Marcuss "Marry-Oughta-slaughter" Mariota. Just parlay pats hawks ML with Oregon ML or -6 (or buy pts) if you think theyre gonna win. There's no pt in having them @+2. replied to Question on Betting Sacks in NFL Betting it was a fine bet. I bet props every primetime game. As long as you put say 100 on the under and 30-40 on Sacks o4.5 or whatever it was. The idea is to bet more on the standard more likely wagers. My pick was simple last night. longest FG o44.5 yards 100 to win 80.
