Why risk kicking a 42 yard FG and having it be blocked and returned instead of taking a few extra seconds off the clock (there were ~15 seconds left) and forcing a bad Kentucky team to score in 10 seconds. Also, there were several scores in the first half that were very lucky (like Vandy hiding Caleb Scott along the sideline and having him be wide open for a TD to end the half).

I usually avoid teasers like the plague but this one is just too good to pass up. 6 point teaser Falcons -2 vs. Washington and Pats -2 at Dallas. Atlanta's offense is firing on all cylinders. I could see Washington covering 8 but I don't think they'll be able to stop Ryan and Julio from torching them, especially on the road. As for the Pats, I don't think much needs to be said. I can't see any way Weeden can keep Dallas in this game. Also, although reports are that Lee is hopeful to play following his concussion, I could see Dallas sitting him and letting him get to 100% with Dallas' bye coming up. If he's out, there's no way Dallas stops Gronk. 5 units, lock it up and throw the key away!

I know you guys might think I'm a homer but I'm realistic with Vandy sports (if you look at my history, you'll see I've bet against Vandy before). Vandy is not nearly as bad as people think. Our defense is stout. It held UGA to 17 points (lost 31-14 but 14 points came from a pick six and return TD) and Ole Miss to 27 in Oxford (were tied in the 3rd quarter). Our first game of the year was undoubtedly bad, losing to Western Kentucky 14-12 but WKU has a good offense. Since taking over as DC this year, HC Derek Mason has shown why he was so highly coveted after his time as DC at Stanford. The main reason for optimism is that the offense has improved substantially each week. Our QB, Johnny McCrary, is a RS sophomore who is actually getting a chance to develop this year instead of being rotated in and out like last year. He's still prone to some bad mistakes but he has the talent and adds another dimension with his feet. Do I think Vandy is a good team this year? No, I definitely don't. I think the defense is very good and will keep Vandy in every game the rest of the year with the exception of Texas A&M. We should not be underdogs at MTSU. I think we take this game 27-13. I also got in on the under when it was at 52 but it's dropped to 48.5 now. I think it still goes under but I probably would just play Vandy +2.
Also, I like Ole Miss -6.5 today at Florida. BOL everybody and let's get some green! |

Forgot to add that I added Wyoming -2 (bought the hook). BRUTAL push. Added Oregon -3, Xavier +2, OkSt/OU over 134. All for a unit. My Dores are looking solid!

Hey guys, haven't posted in a long time. Got a pretty sizable card today.
UNC -3 - Wish I got it when the line was -2 but still like the Tar Heels in this one FSU +13 - Don't think UVA scores enough to cover such a big spread. Baylor/Florida ML parlay +138 - Baylor's taken both matchups against WVU this year and Staten is doubtful. As for UF, not that confident in them to win big but like them to at least win the game, especially with Alabama banged up. Vandy -3 (bought a half point) - Vandy is the fourth youngest team in the country. After a slow start in SEC play, the Dores have reeled off 8 of their last 10 and come into this matchup against Tennessee as one of the hottest teams in the SEC. Although the two teams split their matchups this year, Vandy's loss came early in SEC play when they were struggling big time. Kevin Stallings has this young team playing great lately and I expect that to continue. Expect a big game from Vandy center Damian Jones and sharpshooter Riley LaChance. Let me know what you think. BOL and as always, let's get the green! |

Tailed you on this one. The 9th inning has been real kind to me lately with the Braves and As wins last night.

Meant to add that I've got 4 units on Vandy. Also sprinkled 2 on GT -3 at -105. I don't love Georgia Tech but BC is really rough this year, especially on the road (1-8). Georgia Tech also won 68-60 at BC earlier this year. This play is more reflective of BC STINKING than it is reflective of my confidence in GT.

I made my mine own thread about this game but I really like the Dores in this spot. Obviously my username gives off that I'm biased but I think you gotta take Vandy getting points against the worst team in the SEC, even if it is on the road. Despite only having 7 scholarship players healthy and on the roster, Vandy has been pretty hot of late, winning 4 in a row before losing to Arkansas in the game's final seconds a few days ago. I'm usually pretty critical of Kevin Stallings (I still can't believe we won only won one tournament game with the Jenkins/Taylor/Ezeli trio) but he's done a phenomenal job given the circumstances this year. Bet on the Dores, thank me later.

What's up guys? Haven't been active in the covers community of late but wanted to post my thoughts on my POD today. Got real lucky last night with Cuse.
I LOVE Vandy +2 today at South Carolina. Obviously I'm biased but I think this line is really favorable for the Dores today. South Carolina is the worst team in the SEC. They come into this game with an 8-15 record, 1-9 in the SEC. Despite injuries, suspensions, and unexpected transfers that have left the Dores with 7 scholarship players, Kevin Stallings has this team playing pretty well. Vandy is coming off a close loss to Arkansas but is 4-1 in their last 5. The Dores need this game if they are going to have any chance at the NIT, which would be a huge accomplishment given the team's aforementioned depth issues and youth. I like the Dores to win this game outright by 6-10 points. BOL All. Let's get some green.

He's a great recruiter and motivator but his playcalling left me shaking my head more times than I can count while at Vandy. I'm obviously bitter but from an Xs and Os perspective, he is fairly average.

Nice card, thinking of sprinkling a little green on BC as well.
