I mean it happens. It’s sports. We see blown coverages in football, we see bad defensive routes on fly balls in baseball. People make mistakes, good players find openings. Tell me who here is perfect at their job? In fact I prefer watching college level sports because there are more mistakes making the games have bigger plays. Imagine a sport where the defense is 100% on top of things all the time? You’d be bored out of your mind watching that trust me. I lived through the dead puck era. Trappy, 1-0 2-1 hockey games aren’t much fun to watch.

How would that be an angle when half the players on those teams are Canadian and probably another quarter are European?

It’s not even about the betting though. It’s the entertainment value or lack thereof. Watching the NBA has never been more of a grind than it is today. Not even close.

The strategy has been almost stripped away entirely. Teams have no identity anymore. For the most part every team and every player is trying to do the same thing. It’s the exact same thing that’s happened to baseball.

100% agree. Add to that all of the constant traveling, carrying and soft ass fouls there’s no wonder why nobody’s watching. 

Seriously. Even having 10 units on a game doesn’t help with the entertainment value of this once great league. The NBA is more boring than curling. Coming from a former die hard that grew up on this league from the late 1980s until the early 2010s.

Yes. I have futures on the Bills and Eagles but I didn’t make any individual bets on those games. I took the over for 1U in the Lions/Skins game.

I agree. This is the new “analytical” approach I guess. Way too much time left on the clock to try to tie the game at 21. I don’t get these calls by coaches nowadays. You never saw this stuff back in the day. I have a futures on the Bills so I’m glad they did it but it wasn’t the right thing to do IMO.
