replied to PSU keeps it close w/ Iowa in College Basketball Careful. Penn State plays hard under Chambers but has a serious dearth of talent. I made the mistake of playing them in other desperation spots against teams they should hang with (Nebraska and Purdue) and the games weren't close. Better places to put your money in my opinion. replied to Tuesday 2/5 in College Basketball JFen: Nearly took the Nits and the points, then remembered how pissed I would be if they lost by 1-2, and played the ML. I really think Pat's boys get one tonight. As you said, they've been playing hard in games where they have been overmatched, covering a majority. I also don't trust anybody from Purdue from the perimeter. I'm not sure why Byrd has quit shooting. Thanks for talking me out of laying with K-State and Florida. replied to Wednesday 1/30 in College Basketball JFen, I'm one of four people who acknowledge being a Penn State basketball fan. I like Chambers who, as I'm sure you know, is a Philly guy. But the loss of Frazier has me domoralized. In addition, the repeated near misses in recruiting has me wondering if Chambers can ever get it turned around. What do you think? Also, early thoughts on UM-IU. I'm really starting to buy into the Wolverines, especially as their young players get more seasoned. Thanks. I would put my money on the Huskers not having back-to-back good shooting days. The Illini appears to be a fraud. I think the under is the way to go.
