"He is doing all these executive orders to flood the narrative to appease his base," To what end? He won the election and is termed out. So if the scouting report on Trump is accurate he'd be steering every last dime, brick, and barrel into some sort of Trump account. Only he's not. He's doing what he believes right, as voiced overwhelmingly by public, to course correct the country. So let me guess the narcissistic dictator is greasing the wheels for his kids....the Republican party.....or best of all his fourth and fifth term?

It's kind of a detached argument in the sense that by tax payer burden, I presume you mean security detail cost. The methods and means (and therefore cost) for security of the president far precede the current president. Notwithstanding this particular president survived two attempts on his life. As to the golf. Well the man golfs. Has before his presidency, during his first presidency, so this shouldn't have been a surprise to the tax payers who overwhelmingly put him in office. Further, no one had worked harder on the campaign trail or during the first little bit of his administration than this guy. His pace is unparalleled. Now, do I care whether his security detail costs mount for golf, Nascar, or other functions? No, not really. Very similarly to how I felt about any of Bidens expenses. Theres really only two questions that matter until primary time (for me) Do I believe he is making the decisions and running his end of things- I do Do I agree with his handling of things thus far as better for our country - I do Youre free to your misinformed opinions but not to slander mine for wishing to Make America Great Again. |

You'd better not miss. Trump orders DOJ for fire all remaining Biden Era attorneys. Fascinating and right, wrong, or indifferent he's learned from his first term and has a willingness and tenacity to implement his agenda. |

@spockgato Mostly agree, like 80% I am able to be swayed more middle to left with compelling and concise arguments that provide citations. Just never seems to materialize. And forget trying to move middle to right. |

For my part, I'd rather be a side stepper than constantly getting things wrong What a total bullshit maga answer. Musk has no right holding meetings with foreign leaders. Theres laws against this. no matter what these clowns do, even if illegal the magas will just keep defending them. I don't get my news from here but it came up first. Kindly cite the statutes he is breaking as I am curious to learn more about your contetions. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-steps-up-india-hiring-after-musk-modi-meet-fast-tracking-market-entry-plan-connections. |

"Am sure the nutty magas" A bit unfair if we're being honest. Also a bit rich since everyone on both sides agrees Biden wasn't running his White House. 1) Both Elon and Trump were generationally wealthy prior to entering politics, I doubt their motivations are to raid the American piggy banks. Now place that on the scale opposite lawmakers who have acquired generational wealth from politics. Which way does it tip. 2) I was perfect fine with Dennis Rodman's North Korea diplomatic missions. 3) We've heard for years that Trump is a narcissistic nazi dictator. I was under the impression that type doesn't cede power? To slims point on Knox, i think for years we've accepted kicking the tires when what we needed was that 147 point inspection. |

@cd329 "If all you dumb magas cant grasp that his bullshit is gonna affect your lives, you are all clueless, hopeless people." Alternative hypothesis: The sun will continue to rise and we will continue to trudge through the ebs and flows of our politcs at the time that will change in time. Been going on for decades, centuries, millennium. If you really think Elon pulling out the government pockets for a looksie is the straw that breaks the country's back then I invite you to review your post. |

So we all agree there's definitely a problem. Or maybe a problem. Well not really a problem. The real problem is agreeing on the parameters and resolution of the problem that isn't a problem. All the while allowing would be problems to continue while creating new potential problems depending on who's year it is? Notwithstanding the up and coming generation has neither the skill set or motivation to fund these problems consistent with past generations (anecdotal as i too am lazy and didn't look for numbers). Ok, I still land of turning over rocks. |

@Raiders22 All fair points. "This overgrowth of government bureaucracy and spending has been a concern since at least the 1870s." The accelerated pace over the last few years should scare both sides, but it doesn't which is strange. |

@Midnight1 #42 I listened to Elon articulate his points yesterday. Then I attempted to listen to the other side's counter points One was well thought our and concisely articulated and the others sang, screamed, and chanted eff Trump. There seems to be much discussion about appropriation and separation of powers etc. It would seem congress' entitlement to this argument was usurped from the very people it represents by way of 1500 pages in the 12th hour x every bill. Add the one party's inability to critical think, or articulate, with the non-stop games (both parties) and you get what you see now with favorability from most......outside this forum. After more thought to Slims question, I come in over 1 trillion found with half that getting cut. |

Or.......there was only 1 team that allowed less than 300 yards per game average for the season. The Chiefs had 275 with at least 75 being uncontested. Seems the answer was there all along https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2024/opp.htm |
