There are two types of people:

1)  Those that give and also wish good for others which has a positive effect on humanity and most commonly brings good upon themselves.  One that is a super giver can counter balance the effects of many, many energy sucking people.

2)  Those people that are negative, that seek retribution, and wish ill on others, which has a negative effect on humanity and which often brings negative consequences upon themselves.

Nice to have a giver on the forum.  Wishing you well going forward.

There are two types of givers:

1) Those that give quietly and don't ask for anything in return

2) Those that need constant affirmation and fawning gratitude from legions of followers on an internet forum, who talk in a pompous, patronizing way, who put themselves on a pedestal to be admired for their enlightened messiah message and buy Tony Robbins dvd's. 


The second kind often does not take no for an answer right away and needs to be banned 4 or 5 times. Also wishing all the good people here nothing but good going forward.

If you really want to win...you gotta understand the Difference Between Stimulation and Happiness.

With MNF looming, I bet there's a couple of people out there that are wanting to chase their losses from the weekend, and put it all on the MNF game.  

I'm writing this post in hopes of educating those who may not be aware of the difference between Stimulation and Happiness.

All human beings are constantly seeking Happiness.  That is our number 1 goal as a person, and there's no disputing it.  We all have a different way to get to Happiness, but ultimately, whatever actions we take, are because we think we'll be happier because of the results of that action.

The problem with us is that we often confuse Stimulation with Happiness.  Stimulation is a short lived burst of a feeling.  Usually that feeling is excitement.  Like watching a football game, sometimes we may put money on the game because the risk of losing makes it more exciting.  The excitement is real, but it is fleeting.  Once the outcome has been decided, all the excitement goes away.

In contrast, Happiness lasts longer.  You can reflect back on Happy moments, and start to feel happy again even though the moment itself has long past.  Do you remember the first time you slept with a girl?  That thought probably puts a smile on your face every time you think about it.  It wasn't necessarily the sex, but the moment you finally went all the way to home plate. You can't do the same with football wagers.  Think back to a game last year that you won.  Do you feel happy thinking about it?  Probably not.  It was stimulating at the time, but doesn't last.

As I was thinking about dropping some more money on the Meagles tonight, I thought back to when I was betting with a very small bankroll and what I would do if I hit a "rough" patch like I did yesterday.  I would go all in on MNF.  But WHY would I do that?  We would logically say to "make my money back."  And making that money back would make me happy.  Would it really though?  Does happiness come from making money back after a loss? What would I do with that money?  Use it to bet on more games...more stimulation...more fleeting moments that pass on a whim?

It's important to understand the difference between Stimulation and Happiness.  It'll help keep you from wagering recklessly.  If you have a system in place, and it's designed to win, from your bankroll, to the amount you bet, to what type of games you'll bet, a money manager, etc...you'll likely end up winning consistently.  And with that money you can buy experiences that will make you happy.  Taking the kids in your life to Disneyland, or buying your parents an unexpected gift, or being able to help someone in need.  Those type of actions are give us the feeling of happiness that we are really seeking, not chasing losses on one game.

You'll be a lot happier to win consistently than to win once.  If you don't have a process in place to help you win and you are serious about making money wagering on games, now is a good time to take a look at doing that.  You'll be able to buy more opportunities to be happy and reach your real goals.

Don't mind my little runts.  Ever seen a small child that's been given a toy badge and he goes into his imagination and starts arresting people and telling them what to do?  That's what we have here on this thread; the sheriff of the message board and his little deputy, policing Covers with their green bar badges.  Just think of those little sheriffs when you see them post here and you'll get a good chuckle out of it.

The Presence's Week 7 NFL Picks

#1 NYJ +10 ($750) 

Hopped right on the juicy +10 for the NYJ last night. This is almost as easy to pick as the Eagles on MNF.  Though the Jets' slot corner is banged up, they are in pretty good shape to stop the NE train.  Don't be surprised if the J-E-T-S beat Tommy and the boys this weekend.  The Jets defense and (all other AFC East Defenses) were built with stopping the Patriots in mind.  NYJ has formidable lines on both sides of the ball, Chris Ivory has been playing out of his mind, and Brandon Marshall will require a double team.  The opening things up for the other WRs. Jets always play the Pats tough (in two games last season they lost by a combined 3 points), and I see no reason why they won't do it this weekend.  The only difference this time is they have the horses to actually win this time.  Should be a great game.

#2 Dallas Cowboys +4 ($500) 

My boys are back and are well rested coming off their bye week to play the disaster that is the New York Football Giants.  The Giants' injuries are slowing them down and things don't get easier with Greg Hardy and the new look Dallas DLine coming to town.  The Cowboys are starting Cassel who once led a pretty good New England team to an 11-5 record.  He had Randy Moss on that team, and he'll have Dez Bryant on this team (albeit maybe not for this game).  The Cowboys should be able to dominate on both sides of the ball in the trenches and that is bad news for Eli Manning whose WR corp is banged up.  The Cowboys will challenge that Giants run defense that people have been raving about and expose them for the average bunch that they are (injuries have made the Giants week at LB).  A banged up NYG secondary should allow Terrance Williams and Jason Witten to make an impact on this game.This should be a close one with the Boys winning by a FG.

Hey young man, it's one thing to come on my thread and attack me because you think I'm someone from your past that has obviously gotten under your skin, but it's another thing to get on people's cases who are just here to learn something.

Maybe people are "ghosts" as you say, because they haven't found anything posted that resonated with them enough to respond to.  As I've scrolled through these boards the last two weeks, it appears there are only three or four guys out of thousands who post information worth reading about and worth responding to.

We all resonate with different people.  Some people like Tony Robbins. Some Don't.  Some resonate with Eric Thomas' intensity.  Some Don't.  They all give us the same principles to help us live better, and the diversity of life allows us to gravitate towards those whom we identify with.  Some like me.  Some don't.   The ones that don't click out of the thread and move on.

If you don't like what is said on this thread, there are thousands of threads on many topics on this forum.  There are millions others out there in the world wide web.  Why waste your precious time reading my stuff that you obviously don't agree with, and then wasting our time by posting here?

By coming in with your negativity, you are being a cancer to these boards.  You talk about me being kicked off, when everyone reading is thinking that it should be you.

I am not without perspective.  I believe that if you didn't think I was this DNI person that you dislike, that you would not spend your time on here trying to disrupt our conversation.  I AM NOT DNI and I have no idea who he is or what an SAF is.  Whenever it is that person returns I have no doubt they will come find you and pick up right where you left off.

I am here to post what I feel is important to new gamblers and to those who may be struggling with addiction.  The message board provides me the platform to post something once and someone years from now can stumble upon this information and it can perhaps help them.  That is what a real man does, he tries to help and uplift people, not spend his time figuring out ways to bring people down.

In your own way you are trying to "protect" the boards, but I am respectfully asking you to leave the thread alone going forward to let those who do resonate with this information to be able to enjoy it in a positive environment.

Let us "ghosts" learn from each other in peace.
