It's games galore on Saturday in Major League Baseball, with plenty of matchups to test our wares with our new favorite bet: the No Run First Inning or Yes Run First Inning.

If you haven't yet jumped on this new betting prop, just find the matchup where you think the two teams will combine for at least one run in the first inning or not.

We're fortunate to have hit on five of our first six free MLB picks this season, so let's keep the good times rolling, starting in the Bronx.

Join me as I share my best NRFI bets and MLB picks for Saturday, March 29.

NRFI/YRFI bets for March 19

Brewers vs. Yankees: YRFI  (+100 at ProphetX)

There's nothing new here, just the New York Yankees pouring in a lot of runs. Last year, they were a Top 4 team, plating a run in the first inning at a 35.2% clip.

They turned the trick in Game 1 of their season.

Milwaukee Brewers starter Nestor Cortes should know all too well, as he pitched for the Yanks last season.

In his final eight regular season starts, he had four starts with zero earned runs allowed and two with just one run, but New York got him off to a good start, plating a first-inning run in four starts.

That's where I think the offense will come from, as lefty Max Fried takes the bump for the Yanks. There wasn't a lot of offense in the first inning last year with the Braves.

In his final 10 starts, a first-inning run was scored on just two occasions.

Mets vs. Astros: YRFI  (+100 at ProphetX)

Yes, there haven't been any first-inning runs scored in the first two games of this series, but the Houston Astros are very familiar with New York Mets starter Griffin Canning, whom they faced three times last year when he was with the Angels.

The Astros got to him with first-inning runs in two of those starts, and as a team, they are hitting a collective .307 against him.

Don't sleep on Astros starter Spencer Arrighetti, either. The righty had a robust 4.53 ERA in his rookie season, and he surrendered a first-inning run in three of his final five starts of the year and a fourth where the Astros spotted him a lead.

Braves vs. Padres: YRFI  (+100 at ProphetX)

We chose the Atlanta Braves vs. San Diego Padres trend on Friday, and we'll continue it for Saturday's rubber match.

Another first-inning run was scored between these teams, making it seven times in the last nine meetings we've seen early scores.

Randy Vasquez might be the best link to a run Saturday, as the righty surrendered a YRFI three times in his final five starts for the Padres last year, and Atlanta tagged him for a run in the first in both of his starts against the Braves.

The Braves are sending second-year man Spencer Schwellenbach to the mound, and he was pretty clean in the first inning in his last month of starts in 2024

In six appearances, Schwellenbach did not allow a first-inning run, with Atlanta potting a run in just one of those games
