Ronel Blanco has been struggling lately and we expect that to continue tonight, especially with a red-hot Bryce Harper on the other side.

It’s a busy Monday on the diamond with the stretch drive in full swing and multiple competitive postseason races in both leagues.

A pair of our MLB player props are in a potential World Series preview between two division leaders, as the Astros and Phillies go head-to-head in one of tonight’s marquee matchups.

MLB props for August 26

Today’s best MLB props

Prop bet #1: Ronel Blanco Under 16.5 outs

+116 at Caesars

Houston Astros righty Ronel Blanco has been on a slide, with multiple poor starts against solid offensive teams while posting a 4.42 ERA and 4.03 xFIP across his past 10 outings. The Phillies have mashed at Citizens Bank Park this season with a meaty .336 wOBA and second-ranked .338 on-base percentage — and they’ve also kept the party rolling in August.

Philadelphia sports a .326 OBP and .328 wOBA for the month while averaging a healthy 5.05 runs per game. As such, my MLB picks expect Blanco’s tough run to continue on Monday.

He held opposing hitters to an unsustainably low .161 batting average and .182 BABIP through his first 14 starts of the campaign, and while those marks have ballooned to .215 and .248 through his past 10 appearances, there’s still room for more helium.

Prop bet #2: Bryce Harper Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

+125 at BetMGM

Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper exploded out of a 1-for-19 slump at the dish with a strong series against the Royals, and I expect him to continue the heater against the Astros on Monday. He went 4-for-13 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI to hit the Over in this market in all three games of that series.

The slugger has teed off against right-handed hurlers all season long with a .251 ISO and .359 wOBA, and he’s also been better at Citizens Bank Park with respective .279 and .400 overall marks. As noted, Houston will have a reeling Ronel Blanco toeing the rubber and he’s surrendered a .352 wOBA with 16 extra-base hits and a 39.2% hard-hit rate to left-handed hitters across his past 10 starts.

Prop bet #3: Jose Berrios Under 17.5 outs

-117 at Pinnacle

The highway hasn’t been kind to Toronto Blue Jays righty Jose Berrios, with his road 4.91 ERA and 1.28 WHIP well above his respective 2.81 and 1.08 marks at the Rogers Centre. He’s allowed a healthy .257 batting average and .357 wOBA to opposing hitters on the road, and he's recorded 17 or fewer outs in four of his past six road starts.

The Boston Red Sox also check out as an excellent offense and Fenway Park plays as a hitter-friendly venue. Boston boasts a second-ranked .335 wOBA against right-handed pitchers for the season, with a similar .333 overall mark in August.
