It’s the rubber match of a three-game set between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles this afternoon at Camden Yards.
Boston snapped an ugly four-game losing slide with a win over the O’s on Wednesday and find themselves as slight -115 moneyline favorites in the final game of this series.
Our Red Sox vs. Orioles predictions and MLB picks have the Orioles regaining their offensive flow on Thursday, April 3.

My Red Sox vs Orioles best bet: Orioles moneyline (-105 at Caesars)
An offense that was churning out better than six runs per game, the Baltimore Orioles were shut down completely on Wednesday, with Garrett Crochet throwing eight innings of four-hit shutout ball, fanning eight in the process.
The Orioles have opened the season 3-3 and have alternated wins and losses in every game so far to start the season.
They turn to veteran Charlie Morton today, and the 41-year-old will try to bounce back after getting beat up by the Blue Jays in his Baltimore debut.
Morton lasted just 3 1/3 innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits, with a walk and three strikeouts. He’ll face a Boston Red Sox side hitting just .225 in 71 career at-bats against him.
Like Baltimore, Boston has yet to string together consecutive wins this season, picking up their first W since Opening Day.
The Red Sox offense is still a work in progress. They rank 25th in runs scored, barely crossing three runs per game, while hitting .217 as a team. Their four home runs as a team are tied for the fourth-fewest in baseball.
They turn to righty Tanner Houck in the finale, and he’s trying to bounce back from his own rough debut. He allowed seven hits and four earned runs, including a pair of home runs, in 5 2/3 innings of work, taking the L in a 4-1 loss to the Rangers.
These teams have exchanged wins and losses over their last seven meetings, and I think Baltimore’s offense is again the most effective unit in this matchup.
Look for them to get Morton the run support he needs for them to escape with a series win.
Red Sox vs Orioles same-game parlay (SGP)
Cedric Mullins is coming off a hitless game, but it was just the second time this season that he’s been shut out. It’s been a great start to the year for him overall, as he’s hitting .350 with a 1.109 OPS, a pair of home runs, and 10 RBI.
He’s also the Oriole with the most at-bats against Houck, going 5-for-18 with a double, HR, and four RBI.
I don’t see the same for Orioles’ starter Morton, at least in terms of strikeouts.
He laboured through his first start, throwing 80 pitches, failing to get out of the fourth inning, and fanning just three. Dating back to last season, that’s now the third straight start he’s gone Under his 5.5 strikeout total.
