The Sacramento Kings’ quest to climb above the Western Conference play-in line continues tonight as they host a Philadelphia 76ers team on the same mission in the East.
The Kings have won five of their last seven games and recovered from a shock loss to the Washington Wizards last week by grinding out an impressive 109-107 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday, as De’Aaron Fox poured in 31 points.
That leaves the 76ers as big underdogs here in the latest NBA odds, despite landing a much-needed win over the Los Angeles Clippers yesterday. Philadelphia is in a three-way race for the No. 6 seed while still fighting on without Joel Embiid.

76ers vs Kings predictions
Just about the last thing the Philadelphia 76ers could wish to see in the second game of a back-to-back set is De’Aaron Fox zipping up and down the court. Unfortunately for Nick Nurse’s men, that’s exactly what lies ahead here at Golden 1 Center.
Philadelphia dug deep in L.A. yesterday but it’s fair to wonder how much is left in the tank for tonight. They should get Kyle Lowry and Nicolas Batum back after resting against the Clippers, but Tyrese Maxey logged 44 minutes yesterday and Kelly Oubre Jr. is a game-time decision.
That makes this a nightmare scenario for the visitors, with Fox pushing the pace and cashing in on driving lanes. He brushed off a rough 10-for-30 shooting night against the Wizards with a more efficient outing to pace the Sacramento Kings on the weekend, and I like the Over on his points prop again in this spot.
He’s averaging 25.8 ppg this month, slightly below his overall season mark, but Sacramento needs his offense more than ever with Kevin Huerter and Trey Lyles both sidelined.
The Kings have scored 120 points or more in three of their last four home games, and the Fox-Domantas Sabonis duo should roll tonight with Philadelphia undermanned in the paint.
There was a big spike in Fox’s 3-point attempts last week – two straight games with double-digit shots from downtown – and that’s a trend that makes the Over even more appealing.
The Kings don’t have much margin for error down the stretch, and I see the hosts turning to Fox for another big night.
My best bet: De’Aaron Fox Over 25.5 points (-111 FanDuel)
76ers vs Kings same-game parlay
It’s been a rollercoaster week for Sacramento, but Domantas Sabonis’ rebounding has been a reliable constant. He’s had 14 or more rebounds in six straight games and he’s averaging 16.3 rpg this month.
I don’t see Batum, Mo Bamba, and Paul Reed being able to keep Sabonis off the glass, and the Kings’ double-double machine is poised for another big stat line here. Even this hefty number isn’t enough to sway me from the Over.
I’m also taking the Under on the Philadelphia Team Total. The visitors have hit this Under in 27 of their last 40 contests, and yesterday’s lights-out shooting from 3-point range feels like an anomaly.
The 76ers have been held below 100 points five times in March and this is a tough place for them to come after throwing so much into yesterday’s victory.

76ers vs Kings spread and Over/Under analysis
The Kings have been perplexing lately. They’ve beaten the Magic, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, and Milwaukee Bucks this month, but lost to the Wizards and needed overtime to see off the Memphis Grizzlies last week.
Still, an 8.5-point line speaks to Sacramento’s steady 20-13 home record and the potential fatigue factor for the visitors.
The 76ers are scrapping and clawing without Embiid. They’re 1-2 on this West Coast road trip, though the offense has been hit or miss beyond Maxey.
Philadelphia has owned this matchup over the past five years, winning the last 10 meetings. I see that streak ending tonight, but I’m wary about laying this many points with the erratic Kings.
The Under has been the trend to follow for both these teams. It’s 7-3 in Sacramento’s last 10 games and 7-2-1 for Philadelphia in that same span.
The 76ers’ 124-point outburst against the Clippers came as a shock – it was the first time they’ve scored more than 109 points since March 3. Maxey, Tobias Harris, and Cam Payne combined for 71 points yesterday as Philadelphia made 18 of its 37 3-pointers, and they’ll need balanced scoring again here to keep the scoreline close.
