Seven games sit on the NBA schedule for Friday, January 10. One specific matchup stands out as the Oklahoma City Thunder visit the New York Knicks, and I’m expecting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to shine as a playmaker at MSG.
Elsewhere, Zach LaVine will continue his torrid scoring streak against the lowly Washington Wizards.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for January 10
Zach LaVine 26.5 Points: MORE
Although Zach LaVine has been rather inconsistent for most of the season, that’s far from the case lately. He’s scoring the rock at a high level right now, dropping more than 26.5 points in four straight appearances. In fact, LaVine has posted 30+ in all of those games.
The Bulls face the Wizards tonight, and the guard erupted for 32 points against them on January 1. Washington is a miserable team, especially defensively. Given the way LaVine is playing, I expect him to torch Washington again.
CJ McCollum 21.5 Points: MORE
CJ McCollum may find himself in trade rumors, but he’s certainly proving his worth to the lowly Pelicans, who are having a atrocious season. The veteran is averaging 22.1 ppg on 37% shooting from downtown. He’s registered more than 21.5 points in in six of his last seven contests.
CJ scored 30+ twice and even had a whopping 50 points against the Wizards on January 3. McCollum faces the 76ers tonight, a team he’s averaged 20.1 ppg against in his career. Philly is struggling immensely and allows 21.9 points per night to shooting guards. McCollum will keep up his hot streak.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 5.5 Assists: MORE
I usually focus on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s scoring output, but I’m going a different route tonight. Aside from his ability to dominate opponents at the hoop, SGA is also a solid playmaker. He’s averaging 6.1 assists — the highest on OKC.
Gilgeous-Alexander has dished out more than 5.5 dimes in six of his previous eight outings and he had seven assists the last time the Thunder faced the Knicks, who they take on again tonight at Madison Square Garden. He’s averaging 6.2 dimes per contest on the road as well.
Paul George More Than 2.5 3-Pointers: MORE
While Paul George may not be putting up the type of numbers Philadelphia fans were expecting from a marquee signing, he’s is shooting it efficiently from long range as of late. George has drained more than 2.5 triples in four straight games and shot 50% or better in back-to-back appearances against the Kings and Warriors to begin the new year.
The Pelicans are 24th in opponent 3-point percentage, allowing teams to shoot 37% from deep. This feels like the perfect opportunity for PG to find a rhythm from beyond the arc. He averaged 3.3 makes on 9.8 attempts per game versus New Orleans last season as well.
Buddy Hield 19.5 Points: LESS
Buddy Hield has been a solid addition to the Warriors after losing Klay Thompson. However, he’s hit a serious cold spell since the start of December. Hield averaged just 8.5 ppg last month and has finished with less than 19.5 points in 14 straight outings. Yes, you read that correctly.
The Warriors guard will have a revenge game tonight vs. Indiana, but he scored just 13 against them in December. Sure, Hield will eventually break out of this slump and start to find his scoring touch again, but I don’t see that happening tonight. This entry is a no-brainer given the trends.
Domantas Sabonis 13.5 Rebounds: MORE
Domantas Sabonis is an absolute monster on the glass and he’s a big reason the Kings are riding a five-game winning streak. He’s averaging 13.8 rebounds per night and has registered more than 13.5 boards in five of his last eight. Sabonis even had 21 rebounds against Philadelphia on New Year’s Day.
Sacramento faces the Celtics tonight, whom Sabonis averaged 13 rebounds against last season. He’s going to put in work here versus Kristaps Porzingis and have another big game down low.
