Seven games are scheduled across the NBA on Tuesday, December 7, with two of our picks focusing on a pair of Phoenix Suns stars, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, as they head to the Spectrum Center to face the lowly Charlotte Hornets. We’re also expecting Derrick White and Jayson Tatum to put in work as the Boston Celtics visit the Denver Nuggets.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for January 7
Anthony Edwards 27.5 Points: MORE
Anthony Edwards is averaging 25.6 points per night for the Minnesota Timberwolves as he continues to prove why he’s one of the best players in the Association. While he scored less than 27.5 points in 11 straight up until January 2, the last two games have been ridiculous.
Ant dropped 53 on the Detroit Pistons and shot 10-for-15 from long range. Then, on Monday evening, he scored another 37 points in 37 minutes against the Los Angeles Clippers. The guard is playing with a ton of confidence and I expect another big night against the lowly Washington Wizards.
Kevin Durant 24.5 Points: MORE
Kevin Durant has been the main man for the Phoenix Suns this season and has managed to stay relatively healthy while Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have both missed time. This entry has all the makings of a winner based on his latest numbers. Durant has scored more than 24.5 points in five of his last six outings. On Monday, he barely finished below tonight’s total, putting up 23 in a win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
That was the first time since December 23 that KD scored less than 24.5 points. Plus, Durant tends to flourish on back-to-backs, averaging 30.3 points in three appearances with no rest this season.
Devin Booker 6.5 Assists: MORE
Book is the Suns’ top playmaker and has found his best self this season as a facilitator. He’s averaging 6.7 dimes, the third-highest total for him since coming into the Association. The trends point to Booker picking apart the Hornets tonight, too.
The ex-Kentucky standout has dished out more than 6.5 assists in three games in a row, compiling 10, 9, and 9 dimes, respectively. Charlotte is 15th in most assists allowed and Booker averaged nine dimes against the Hornets last season.
Jayson Tatum 3.5 Threes: MORE
Jayson Tatum is one of the better 3-point shooters in the game and he takes more triples per night than most, averaging 3.9 makes on 10.5 attempts for a 36.9% clip from downtown. The Boston Celtics forward has drained more than 3.5 treys in three of the last four.
Before going just 2-for-6 on Sunday against a dominant OKC Thunder defense, Tatum was 4-for-10, 6-for-17, and 4-for-9 from beyond the arc, respectively, across three games. While Tatum struggled last season overall against the Denver Nuggets, this is a number he hasn't had an issue with.
Anthony Davis 13.5 Rebounds: LESS
There’s no question that Anthony Davis is a force on the boards. After all, he is averaging 11.9 rebounds per night in 2024-25. However, his total tonight is too high. AD is battling a foot injury, which could slow him down versus the Dallas Mavericks, and he’s only grabbed more than 13.5 boards in two of his last six outings.
Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers big man averaged 12 rebounds against the Mavs. Will he get into double digits? Probably. I just don’t see him surpassing 13.5 in this one.
Derrick White 15.5 Points: MORE
Yes, Tatum and Jaylen Brown may be the two main stars for the defending champion Celtics, but you can’t forget about the other pieces on this squad like Derrick White. He is an integral part of this Boston core. White is averaging 17.1 points and has scored more than 15.5 in six of his last eight. White’s 11 points vs OKC ended a four-game run where he finished with more than tonight's number.
White is averaging 19.1 points against West opponents this season and averaged exactly 15.5 against Nikola Jokic and Co. in 2023-24. He’ll make his presence felt tonight in Colorado, the same state White played college ball.
