Best NBA Player Props Today for 11-16: Giannis Happy Going Stag

Giannis Antetokounmpo won't have to fight for touches with what's left of his Milwaukee Bucks teammates, leaving him in a good position to clear a lofty points + rebounds + assists total tonight.

NBA Cup play was alive and well on Friday, with 13 Group Play matchups on the slate. The schedule shrinks considerably on Saturday with just five games on tap, but there are still plenty of great player props to target.

Combo props are the focus of Saturday’s slate. My favorite NBA picks for November 16 feature a Lakers superstar ready to dominate his former team, Milwaukee’s last-man-standing getting as many touches as he can handle, and Boston’s leading scorer taking advantage of a favorable matchup.

Best NBA player props today

  • Lakers Anthony Davis Over 42.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115 at bet365)
  • Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 56.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115 at bet365)
  • Celtics Jayson Tatum Over 42.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115 at bet365)

NBA player props for November 16

Prop bet #1: Anthony Davis Over 42.5 points + rebounds + assists

-115 at bet365

Anthony Davis is playing on the second half of a back-to-back set tonight but the matchup is tremendous, and he’s fresh off a 40-point eruption against the Spurs. To sweeten this prop, Davis will be facing his former team in a matchup that has gone well for him since joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

Since donning the purple and gold, Davis has faced the New Orleans Pelicans 14 times and averaged a healthy 26.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. He’s been even better in six games at New Orleans, averaging 29 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists.

In those six games, Davis has scored at least 40 points once, scored at least 30 points four times, and posted three 30-point double-doubles. New Orleans is trotting out a skeleton crew due to a catastrophic number of injuries, and Davis is in prime position to take advantage. I’m hammering the Over here.

Prop bet #2: Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 56.5 points + rebounds + assists

-115 at bet365

Things aren’t going so great in Milwaukee right now, and they might be even worse on Saturday. Khris Middleton’s extended absence will carry over, Bobby Portis is doubtful, and Damian Lillard has been ruled out. Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the proverbial last man standing on Saturday, making him a player of interest for a lofty combo line.

The Greek Freak is averaging 50.9 PRAs this season behind averages of 33.3 points, 12.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists. He’s hit the Over on this line in seven of his last 10 games, and I certainly expect him to get there tonight. With Dame out, Giannis has averaged 41/9/7 over his last two, including a monstrous 59/14/7 line against the Detroit Pistons.

Charlotte is middle-of-the-pack in points and rebounds allowed, so this won’t be a scary matchup for Giannis. With virtually no competition for touches, he’ll operate as a one-man wrecking crew against the Hornets, and I’m confidently taking the Over on his combo prop.

Prop bet #3: Jayson Tatum Over 42.5 points + rebounds + assists

-115 at bet365

Whether he’s riding the high of winning his first championship or out for a revenge tour following his limited playing time at the Paris Olympics, Jayson Tatum is off to a tremendous start to the 2024-25 campaign. He’s averaging 30.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists, good for 43.5 PRAs.

Tatum has hit the Over on this prop in nine of 13 games, including three of his last four. The Toronto Raptors have allowed the fourth-most points per game this season, which offers the Boston Celtics star a great opportunity to pile up points. Toronto has allowed just the 13th-most rebounds per game on the season as a whole, but the Raps have allowed the fourth-most across their last three.

Tatum simply needs to be average tonight to cash the Over on this prop, and I’m confident he’ll do so in this highly favorable matchup.
