Grant Williams has hit a groove with Charlotte, and we expect the Hornets forward to flash his versatility in the Motor City tonight.

With just four games gracing the Thursday schedule, all eyes will inevitably turn to the Los Angeles Lakers' quest for a seventh straight victory in the late tip.

However, I’m casting the net wider on the player props market, with the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets offering sneaky entertainment upside and another chance to assess the new-look Minnesota Timberwolves.

Here are my three favorite NBA picks for the November 21 slate, including big nights for two of the league’s top-tier centers.

NBA player props for November 21

Prop bet #1: Grant Williams Over 16.5 rebounds + assists

-110 at bet365

Although Grant Williams’ career has faltered a little since leaving Boston, he’s starting to look at home alongside the Charlotte Hornets’ promising young core. He’s coming off back-to-back strong outings, and I see him being a key factor tonight against the Detroit Pistons.

This 16.5 combo line feels low for Williams, who had 16 points and seven rebounds against Brooklyn on Tuesday. After a slow start, he’s up to 37% from 3-point range, and he’s shot 7-for-15 from downtown in his last four outings. That’s more like the versatile forward we saw in Boston.

LaMelo Ball’s playmaking should continue to create open looks for Williams, and Charlotte is counting on him to dominate the glass with two centers listed on the injury report. His physicality will be particularly critical here against Detroit’s Jalen Duren.

With potential for minutes in the mid-30s, the arrow is pointing up for Williams, and I’m wagering on a solid stat line again tonight in what could be a high-scoring clash.

Prop bet #2: Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 rebounds

+100 at bet365

After the Minnesota Timberwolves traded Karl-Anthony Towns this summer, it’s been a little surprising to see Rudy Gobert’s rebounding numbers dip (10.4 rpg) in the first month of the season.

I’m counting on a vintage Gobert game on the glass at Scotiabank Arena tonight, where he’ll be matched up against Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl. As well as Poeltl is playing at the moment, a traditional big-man assignment is a major plus for Gobert — both in terms of minutes and rebounding opportunities.

This is where Gobert shines. He’s racked up 12 or more boards five times this year, including against the Raptors in late October, and there’s a strong pattern of facing bruising centers in those contests. The Frenchman should spend plenty of time at the rim here, rather than chasing around the 3-point line.

Facing a Toronto team that ranks fourth in the league in field goal attempts per game but in the bottom third in 3-point percentage, this is a good spot for Gobert to go to work on the glass.

Prop bet #3: Anthony Davis Over 26.5 points

-115 at bet365

The Los Angeles Lakers are rolling at 10-4, and Anthony Davis’ MVP-level performances are a big reason for L.A. being among the frontrunners in the West. I’m expecting more of the same tonight against an Orlando Magic defense that looks vulnerable in the frontcourt with Wendell Carter Jr. listed as day-to-day and Paolo Banchero still out.

That should pave the way for Davis to dominate in the paint. Though he fell short of this 26.5 number with missed fourth-quarter free-throws against Utah on Tuesday, he had poured in a combined 71 points in his two prior outings.

Davis is currently averaging 10 free throws a night and shooting almost 57% from the field. With Orlando’s defensive strength lying largely on the perimeter, look for L.A. to pound the ball inside.

The hot-shooting threat of Dalton Knecht to space the floor, coupled with LeBron James’ assists spree, should further add to the one-on-one scoring opportunities for AD — and I see him closing in on his 30.7 ppg season average tonight.
