Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will be on the road on Thursday as they take on Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic, and we have you covered with our best bet for this matchup using the latest NBA odds.
Wemby remains the betting favorite to win the Rookie of the Year Award this season, but he and the Spurs will have their hands full as they take on the winner of last year's award in Paolo Banechero.
With the Spurs and Magic just recently squaring off in San Antonio, find out which bet I'm backing in the rematch in my free NBA picks for the Spurs vs. Magic on February 8.

Spurs vs Magic predictions
The Orlando Magic are coming off of an embarrassing loss in Miami on Tuesday, and Paolo Banchero was talking after the game about how they've been a bit lackadaisical of late.
Banchero directly referenced their most recent game against the San Antonio Spurs on January 31, when they almost let a big lead slip away. Well, I'm glad he referenced the Spurs game because I need Orlando to bring that blow-them-out spirit on Thursday.
When you quickly look at this matchup, your immediate concern with laying the points is that Orlando loves to score in the paint and Victor Wembanyama could be very disruptive to this. The Magic average 52.4 points per game in the paint and scored 62 in the January 31 matchup.
Not only was Wembanyama's defensive presence in the paint not as disruptive as you'd think, but the Magic players also have a much better idea of how to attack him.
Early in that game, there was a ton of uncertainty and hesitation in the paint for several Magic players. They eventually figured it out, but there won't be that adjustment period this time around, especially with the games so close together.
Not only were the Magic able to score on Wembanyama, but unlike many other teams in the NBA, they have a player on their roster who can defensively match up against Wembanyama and disrupt the Spurs offense in Jonathan Isaac.
I've said this a lot this season, but Isaac would win Defensive Player of the Year if he played 30 minutes per game; he's that good and he's capable of completely locking down Wembanyama. The Spurs don't have many other offensive weapons, either.
It's also worth mentioning that SA is playing this game on the back end of a back-to-back, and while Wemby's been cleared to play on back-to-backs — and he has been recently — there's the off chance he sits out. You'll be sitting pretty if this happens and you jumped on Magic -11 early in the day.
Even with Wemby playing, I think the Magic should be closer to a 13-point favorite.
My best bet: Magic -11 (-106 at FanDuel)
Spurs vs Magic same-game parlay
My best bet for the spread is at FanDuel because they have the Magic trading at -106 for the -11, but I'm going to make the SGP at DraftKings because they have a prop I want.
The reasons I'm laying the points with Orlando are the same reasons I'm adding the Spurs team total Under 105.5 to the SGP. As I highlighted in the best bet, the Magic have a defender in Isaac who can take away Wembanyama, but he isn't the only Magic player who can ruin the Spurs offense.
Wendell Carter Jr. will also be able to hold his own and Jalen Suggs can cause all kinds of problems for Tre Jones on the perimeter as he tries to get the Spurs offense organized and the ball to Wembanyama. Across the board, the Magic have defenders who can disrupt across the board.
Lastly, I love the Magic to win the race to win the fourth-quarter race to 20 points. Isaac is sitting the entire third quarter and then playing the entirety of the final frame. With him deployed against Wemby, this is a easy add.

Spurs vs Magic spread and Over/Under analysis
The Magic opened as a 10.5-point favorite at FanDuel, and while we've seen that number move to Magic -11, we're seeing reduced juice on the Magic side of the spread.
It might be trading at Magic -11 right now, but don't expect this number to hang around for very long. The Magic are trading as 11.5-point favorites at several other sportsbooks.
The total opened at 224 at DraftKings, and it is still trading at 224. While the number hasn't moved, we're seeing a variety of different lines on the opener across the board. You can find anywhere from 223.5 to 225 for the game total, so make sure to shop around before hitting the button.
Also, remember it's trade deadline day, and while the Spurs aren't expected to make any drastic moves, the Magic very well could, which would impact both of these numbers.
