The two hottest teams in the NBA go head-to-head tonight at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse when the 9-0 Cleveland Cavaliers welcome the 7-1 Golden State Warriors.

Andrew Wiggins has been a big part of Golden State’s early success, averaging more than 15 points and two three-pointers per game, and I’ll explain why I’m looking for him to cash the Over from three-point range in my Warriors vs Cavaliers NBA picks for Friday, November 8.

Warriors vs Cavaliers prediction

My best bet
Andrew Wiggins Over 1.5 made threes (+110 at bet365)

My analysis
There will be plenty of star power on the floor when the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers clash at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse tonight, but Andrew Wiggins is the player who’s caught my eye heading into this matchup.

The Warriors improved to 7-1 on Wednesday with an impressive 118-112 win over the Celtics, thanks in part to a 16-point effort from Wiggins, who went 6-for-14 from the field in a season-high 31 minutes. The small forward went 0-for-3 from beyond the arc but I’ll look for him to bounce back with multiple three-pointers against the Cavs.

Wiggins started the season incredibly hot from distance, shooting a fiery 57.9% (11-for-19) from three-point range in October while dropping at least two treys in each of his first four games. He’s gone two contests without scoring from beyond the arc, but I expect that to change vs Cleveland.

Despite owning the best record in the NBA, the Cavaliers have been pretty mediocre at defending their three-point line. Cleveland is giving up 12.7 threes per game (13th) while their opponents are shooting 38.5% from long range – the fourth-worst mark from a defensive perspective.

Wiggins is scoring 2.2 threes per game early this season and has averaged at least two three-pointers per game in three of his last four campaigns.

Warriors vs Cavaliers same-game parlay

Andrew Wiggins Over 1.5 made threes

Over 231

Warriors moneyline

Tonight’s total is 231 points at bet365, and I'm definitely taking the Over in my SGP as the Cavs (123.2) and Warriors (121.1) rank among the top three in points per game this season.

I’m also going to go against the spread here and take the Warriors for the win. Golden State has the defensive edge on paper, allowing just 105.3 points per game (2nd), while Cleveland’s inability to defend the three could be a weak spot for a Dubs squad led by Steph Curry and Buddy Hield, who are combining for more than eight three-pointers per game.
