The NFC West features the closest divisional race heading into NFL Week 12, so the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks both have plenty to play for when they meet at Lumen Field this afternoon. FOX will have live coverage starting at 4:25 p.m. ET.

My Cardinals vs. Seahawks prediction expects Seattle to top Arizona for the sixth consecutive time.

My NFL picks dive deeper into this rivalry for Sunday, November 24 below.

Cardinals vs Seahawks prediction

Who will win Cardinals vs Seahawks?

The Cardinals might be cruising along a four-game winning streak, but opposing offenses haven’t had a lot of trouble cruising against the Arizona stop unit, either.

I’m buying a rejuvenated Seattle Seahawks defense off its own statement road win and expect Cards quarterback Kyler Murray to have his share of hiccups with the weather forecast calling for rain and cool temperatures at Lumen Field on Sunday. Don’t forget, before the injuries piled up, Seattle was running out one of the best defenses in the NFL to start the season.

Prediction: Seahawks win, 24-20.

My best bet
Pick: Seahawks moneyline (-110 at BetMGM)

My analysis
It was a tale of two seasons for the Seattle Seahawks leading into their Week 10 bye. They exploded out of the gate with three consecutive wins before dropping five of six. The road win over the San Francisco 49ers last week was the opening scene of Act 3.

Seattle overhauled the inside linebacker tandem of Tyrel Dodson and Jerome Baker during its layoff, and it was Tyrice Knight and Ernest Jones manning the middle against the 49ers. It was an area of weakness all season, but the Seahawks posted their best PFF tackling grade of the year last Sunday with Knight and Jones combining for 23 themselves.

The new look helped Seattle post its highest PFF defense grade since Week 2, and don’t forget, the Seahawks allowed the second-lowest EPA per play and lowest success rate in the league through the first three weeks before the injuries mounted and derailed the rolling defense.

I’m anticipating Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald having the defense ready for the visiting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Arizona won four straight ahead of its Week 11 bye but three were home games and the fourth was an improbable comeback against the injury-riddled Miami Dolphins in quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s return from a four-game absence due to a concussion.

Full credit to the Cards, I’m just expecting QB Kyler Murray and the offense to have a few hiccups Sunday, and especially with the weather forecast calling for rain and cool temperatures.

On the flip side, I’m not confident the Arizona defense can make enough stops. The Cards have allowed the second-highest third-down conversion percentage (48.0%), and even with the recent improvements during the four-game winning streak, Arizona has allowed the eighth-highest EPA per play and ranks 27th in PFF defense grade.

Cardinals vs Seahawks same-game parlay

Seahawks moneyline

Kyler Murray 25+ rushing yards

Kenneth Walker Over 21.5 receiving yards

There’s been a noticeable decline in Murray’s rushing yards and carries the past three weeks. He only had 10 carries — including six designed runs and just a single scramble — to total 46 rushing yards across the three-game stretch ahead of Arizona’s Week 11 bye. Still, Seattle sets up as a much more favorable opponent for the dual-threat quarterback to pad his rushing numbers.

The Seahawks allowed each of Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix, New York Giants QB Daniel Jones, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, and San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy to rush for 25 or more yards already this season, after all.

Arizona has struggled against the pass all season with the fourth-highest dropback success rate allowed, and opposing running backs have also been successful through the air. The Cards have surrendered the fifth-highest catch percentage and 10th-highest yards per target to backs.

Of course, Kenneth Walker has also been solid in the passing game with six consecutive games with 24 or more receiving yards before being limited to just five on two targets last week. He also averaged 5.2 targets, 4.7 receptions, and 35.2 receiving yards during the noted six-game stretch.

It’s also notable that Walker’s receiving yards total was trading as high as 25.5 in Week 9 and at 24.5 against San Fran last week.

Cardinals vs Seahawks spread and Over/Under analysis

  • The Seahawks opened as a 1.5-point home favorite, and I obviously agree more with that line than Seattle being a home underdog.

  • I also wouldn’t be surprised if there was buyback on the Seahawks. Seattle has won five straight meetings, after all.

  • The total opened at 45 and shot up to 47.5 right away. With that said, 51% of the bets are on the Under, according to Covers Consensus.

  • The two teams have played to the Under in three of the past four meetings and seven of the past 10, and this is the second-lowest total during that stretch. The number closed at 44 in Week 7 last year, and Seattle won 20-10.
