CeeDee Lamb Picks, Predictions, and Best Bets for Giants vs Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day

Dallas will be happy when this season is over, but CeeDee Lamb continues to be their No. 1 option on offense. Expect more of the same from the WR on Thanksgiving.

Favorable Week 12 results leave the Dallas Cowboys with a faint glimmer of playoff hope ahead of this Thanksgiving clash, and they’ve got to like their chances here against a New York Giants team short on star power.

Dallas isn't exactly oozing with star power either, but CeeDee Lamb's odds offer bettors a great opportunity to wager on someone competent in this Thanksgiving affair.

Over 6.5 receptions (-110 at FanDuel)

My analysis
It’s no exaggeration to say CeeDee Lamb has been a target machine this season, and he somehow leads the NFL in receptions (77) despite the Dallas Cowboys’ underwhelming offensive numbers.

With Cooper Rush set to shake off a knee injury and start under center for the hosts, I expect a cautious Dallas game plan and a steady diet of short throws.

While that makes me a little hesitant about the Lamb receiving yards total, it’s still a formula for a massive role in the passing game, and I like this price for him to hit the Over on 6.5 receptions.

Lamb has finished with 10 or more targets in each of his last six contests, including 13 catches on 17 targets against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8.

With 10 catches for 67 yards, he accounted for almost half of Rush’s 24 completions in the shock win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, and there’s a path to a similar Thanksgiving stat line here — especially after the New York Giants' shaky defense just gave up 30 points to the Buccaneers.

The Giants’ turbulent week indirectly helps this prop, too. With the visitors moving on from Daniel Jones and likely to be without DeVito, Drew Lock is the next man up. More offensive adjustments are a tall task on a short week, and some disjointed New York drives will just mean more possessions for Lamb and Dallas.

It may not be pretty for the Cowboys, but whether it’s on screens or crossing routes, Lamb’s versatility to line up all over the formation should give Rush (or Trey Lance if it comes to that) enough opportunities to feed his No. 1 receiver.

CeeDee Lamb same-game parlay

CeeDee Lamb Over 6.5 receptions

CeeDee Lamb anytime touchdown

Cowboys -2.5

Though Lamb has been kept out of the end zone in four straight games, this is a golden opportunity to halt that drought, with the Giants allowing four touchdowns on Sunday and three in Week 9.

Rush tossed two TD passes against Washington, and that turnover-free outing could encourage Mike McCarthy to put more faith in the passing game to finish drives.

Lamb is also a rushing threat in the red zone, and he’s had at least one carry in his past four contests. Don’t be surprised if there’s a jet sweep in the playbook.

In the long history of this NFC East rivalry, Thursday’s showdown isn’t likely to join the list of classics. But I’m riding with the Cowboys to block out the noise (and the sun) to finally get their first home win of the season.

New York hasn’t covered the spread in any of its past six games, and the vibes aren’t encouraging after the Daniel Jones saga and Malik Nabers’ frosty post-game comments on Sunday.

Injuries will surely limit both offenses, but I prefer to lay this adjusted 2.5-point spread with a Dallas team that can count on Lamb and Micah Parsons as proven game-wreckers.
