Michael Porter Jr. is frequently dialed in from deep when at home, and he draws a plum matchup for splashing threes with the Pacers coming to town tonight, per our NBA betting picks.

Buckle up for a Sunday night of entertainment when the Indiana Pacers meet the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena.

Indiana’s perimeter defense is inconsistent, and my Pacers vs. Nuggets predictions see this as an excellent opportunity for Denver sharpshooter Michael Porter Jr.

Read on as I share my NBA picks for Sunday, April 6.

Pacers vs Nuggets prediction

My best bet: Michael Porter Jr Over 2.5 made threes (+105 at bet365)

My analysis
The Indiana Pacers bring their middling 3-point defense to the Mile High City when they meet the Denver Nuggets.

That Pacers have been torched to the tune of 39% shooting from downtown across the last five, which bodes well for Denver and Michael Porter Jr.

Porter Jr. is the Nuggets’ most accurate long-range sniper, and he’s been red-hot from downtown. The former Missouri Tigers star has knocked down 3+ in three straight with a trio or more made threes in three of his last five at Ball Arena.

He thrives in the Nuggets' up-tempo offense with Nikola Jokic's playmaking skills, and both should be on full display tonight.

Indiana doesn’t defend the perimeter well, and they could be without Pascal Siakam tonight. That will make defending the 3-point arc that much more difficult for Indiana than it has already been.

Porter will get his looks, and the six-year vet averages nearly three made threes per night on 41% shooting at home. I like his chances of dropping 3+ triples against this inconsistent Pacers perimeter defense.

Pacers vs Nuggets same-game parlay

Michael Porter Jr. Over 2.5 made threes

Tyrese Haliburton Under 22.5 points

Nuggets moneyline

Porter is used to shooting in the Denver altitude, but Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and the rest of the team aren’t.

Haliburton has only scored 23+ once in the last six games. He’s reliant on the triple that likely won’t be there as Denver holds point guards to 20% from downtown at home. Haliburton only averages a shade Under 17 ppg.

Slow Haliburton, slow Indiana. Especially if Siakam is out. Denver has won nine straight over Indiana, and I expect them to win this one too.
