Eagles vs Bengals Prop Bets: Barkley Puts Cincy Stoppers in Spin Cycle

Fresh off sticking it to the Giants, Saquon Barkley should deliver another dynamic effort on the ground as the Eagles visit the Bengals in Week 8. That and more in Quinn Allen's NFL prop picks.

The Philadelphia Eagles head to Ohio to visit Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 of the NFL season as both teams search for their third straight victory.

My Eagles vs. Bengals predictions and NFL picks in the player prop markets are banking on Saquon Barkley having another big game on the ground against a poor Cincinnati run defense.

Eagles vs Bengals props

Prop bet #1: Saquon Barkley Over 80.5 rushing yards

-115 at BetMGM

The Philadelphia Eagles offense has dealt with injuries this season, most notably to pass-catchers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. While both players are back now, the Birds have focused on their run game. And why not, when you have Saquon Barkley in your backfield?

The former New York Giant ranks third in the NFL with 658 rushing yards. He’s averaging a mind-boggling 6.1 yards per carry and also has five touchdowns. The Eagles’ run offense is second in the NFL because of Barkley.

In six games in 2024, the 27-year-old has hit the Over in rushing yards five times. His only poor outing was in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns, rushing for 47 yards. Last Sunday, he bounced back in a revenge game against his former team, cooking them for 176 yards on the ground.

The Bengals’ run defense is 21st in the league. Barkley is going to thrive again here and play a massive part in the outcome in Cincy. This bet is a no-brainer given how he’s performing.

Prop bet #2: Ja’Marr Chase anytime TD

-110 at BetMGM

Ja’Marr Chase is WR1 for Joe Burrow, and he’s proving his worth once again this season with 39 receptions for 620 yards and six touchdowns. In other words, he’s had a TD in almost every appearance.

While there have been three games where he didn’t find the end zone for the Cincinnati Bengals, Chase has enjoyed two contests with two touchdowns apiece. Last weekend against the Browns, the former LSU standout reeled in five grabs for 55 yards and a score.

Perhaps the odds look so good because Chase has never played the Eagles in his career. This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2020, the year before he was drafted. Given how important Chase is to Burrow in this offense, I love this bet at -110.

Prop bet #3: A.J. Brown Over 77.5 receiving yards

-115 at BetMGM

Brown is one of the best wideouts in the entire league and showed that in the season opener, reeling in five receptions for 119 yards and a TD. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury that kept him out for three games after that, but Brown has hit the ground running since returning.

The WR had six catches for 116 yards in his first game back from injury against Cleveland. He then compiled five receptions for 89 yards last weekend in New York. He’s hit the Over in receiving yards in every single contest in ‘24.

The former Mississippi star may not always have a ton of receptions in a game, but he’s averaging 20.2 yards per catch, which would be a career-high. The Bengals’ pass defense also ranks 21st in the league. I believe Brown will ball out here and comfortably hit the Over.
