Joe Burrow Odds & MNF Props: Burrow Racks up the Passing Touchdowns

Usually, when a team is struggling, it looks to its star players to step up their play and deliver a win. On Monday Night Football, our NFL picks expect Joe Burrow to deliver a gem and rack up the passing TDs vs a weak Commanders' secondary.

My analysis

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have a chance to not only get their first win of the season on Monday night, but make a statement in doing so. They’re 7.5-point favorites against a Washington Commanders team that has struggled against Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones so far this season.

The quarterback was frustrated with how last week’s game unfolded, but he’s focused ahead on Monday night.

“That was a tough loss, but we've just got to go out and get a win,” he said. “We've got to focus on getting better every day through our practice, and go out and execute when we have to execute on Monday. The rest will take care of itself."

Burrow was held to 164 yards without a touchdown in Week 1 before throwing for 258 yards and two scores last week against the Chiefs. Things should continue trending upwards for Burrow as Ja'Marr Chase settles in and Tee Higgins returns from his injury.

Higgins returned to practice on Thursday after missing the first two games of the season. He was a limited participant in practice again on Friday but declared that he will play on Monday night.

Whether Higgins returns or not, Burrow should be able to find the end zone a couple of times. The Commanders allowed four touchdown passes by Mayfield in Week 1 and two by Jones last week. Last season, they allowed at least two touchdown passes in 13 of their 17 games.

Joe Burrow MNF same-game parlay

Burrow 2+ passing touchdowns

Burrow 250+ passing yards

Ja'Marr Chase anytime touchdown

I’m keeping it simple for our Monday Night Football same-game parlay. Joe Burrow and the Bengals should be able to run up the score against Washington -- or at least throw for a few touchdowns.

Five different wide receivers have caught touchdown passes against the Commanders through two weeks. Look for Chase to get on the board on Monday night.
