The NFC West is wide open heading into the second half of the season, with all four teams sitting on four losses — and that just raises the stakes as the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams square off on Sunday.
With Seattle faltering after a 3-0 start, my Rams vs Seahawks predictions signal another statement game for the in-form L.A. offense.

My best bet

My analysis
At 1-4, things looked bleak for the Los Angeles Rams, with costly absences on both sides of the ball and Cooper Kupp trade rumors floating around.
But the picture looks rather different now for Sean McVay’s men after back-to-back victories and question marks growing for their division rivals.
That makes the Rams an attractive pick here as a very slight favorite in this Week 9 matchup against a team they love to play. L.A. is 7-3 in the past 10 meetings against the Seattle Seahawks, as well as 8-2 ATS.
The visitors have benefitted from a mini bye week after an eye-catching win over the Minnesota Vikings on Week 8 TNF. Matthew Stafford looked revitalized that night with Kupp and Puka Nacua back on the field, tossing four touchdown passes.
Though Nacua’s availability is unclear after another knee issue in practice this week, there’s optimism he'll play and give the passing game some extra juice.
However, it’s L.A.’s ability to win at the line of scrimmage that gives me the most confidence with this pick. The offensive line didn’t allow a single sack last time out against a blitz-heavy Minnesota defense, while Seattle’s offensive line has been a weak spot all year.
It’s not as if Stafford has to make all the big throws either, particularly with Kyren Williams primed for a big workload here against a Seattle run defense that’s allowing 148.4 rushing yards per game on the ground this season — the fourth-worst mark in the league.

Welcome back, Cooper Kupp! With No. 10 back on the field, it didn’t take long for his connection with Stafford to propel a Rams offense that had been stuck in the mud without him.
Kupp’s stat line wasn’t eye-popping — five catches for 51 yards — but his eight-target total was a reminder he’s elite at creating separation, especially when paired with Nacua.
Though the L.A. offense will suffer if Nacua is out or limited, the trade-off would likely be more volume for Kupp. Keep in mind he finished with 14 catches on a ridiculous 21 targets in the season opener after Nacua limped off, so I feel like the value of this receiving yards Over holds up regardless.
I’m rounding out my SGP with a Kyren Williams prop. He’s set to do damage in the ground game, but it’s his reception prop that feels like better value.
Williams ended up with five grabs for 19 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings, and he’s a proven outlet for Stafford if the Seattle pass rush gathers steam.
