DeVonta Smith Super Bowl 57 best bet

DeVonta Smith may only be in his second year in the NFL but he already knows a lot about winning big games. The Eagles had the best record in the NFC this season and then duly made their way to Sunday’s showpiece game, but even before being drafted No. 10 overall in 2021, Smith knew how to win.

Smith was a two-time CFP National Champion with an Offensive MVP in 2020, he’s won the Heisman, the Maxwell, Walter Camp, and Biletnikoff awards and was named a unanimous All-American in addition to being named both AP and Sporting News College Football Player of the Year in 2020.

This year, he’s taken a leap forward, posting his first ever 1,000+ yard season and increasing his touchdown tally from five to seven. Now he’s on the verge of becoming a Super Bowl champion and will be a key piece of the Eagles offense on Sunday.

His receiving yards line sits at 61.5 with most books, although some have already moved up to 63.5. The best way to play this line is to back the Over. It’s a number he’s exceeded on 10 occasions this season and narrowly missed adding an 11th in the Divisional Round, falling just a yard short.

He’s become more and more integral to the success of this offense as the season's gone on and the numbers bear that out. He went Over 61.5 receiving yards just three times in the first 11 games but has done it six times in the last eight.

This is a player who is really finding his footing in the NFL and announcing himself as one of the best receivers in the game. Not only has he exceeded this total in 75% of his games since the start of December, but he also possesses a very real deep ball threat, which can really help eat up a large chunk of this yardage in one go.

Prop: Over 61.5 receiving yards (-115)

DeVonta Smith: Over 61.5 receiving yards

Over 5.5 receptions

Anytime touchdown scorer

If you liked the look of DeVonta Smith’s receiving yards line of 61.5 yards and wanted to supersize the NFL odds by turning it into a same-game parlay then look no further. We’re going to juice this up to +450 with two additional legs.

In addition to the Over 61.5 receiving yards, we’ll then add in Over 5.5 receptions. It’s a number he’s gone Over in four of his last five games, with only the Conference Championship game against the 49ers seeing him stay Under.

With this likely being a close game, we should see plenty of passing attempts by Jalen Hurts and it’s worth noting that the Chiefs allowed two of the Bengals' wideouts to record 6+ receptions.

Then finally we’ll also add in the anytime touchdown for Smith to complete the same-game parlay. We spoke about his improvement in the second half of the season and that’s also true in terms of touchdown output, with five TDs compared with just three in the first half of the season.

Against the Chiefs, we saw the Bengals’ second receiving option Tee Higgins have a huge game, while the Chiefs secondary focused on Ja’Marr Chase and we could well see a repeat of that here with Smith thriving while the attention stays on teammate A.J. Brown.

Same-game parlay: +450 at bet365
