The return of the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants from their respective bye weeks is a blessing for the 20 poolies remaining in our Covers’ 10K Pro Football Survivor contest.
Week 12 sets up a little more friendly with the Panthers hosting the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Giants hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Toss in the Washington Commanders off a Thursday Night Football loss and extended rest against the reeling Dallas Cowboys, and there are options on where to plant your flag.
Here are my Week 11 NFL picks for survivor pools.

Covers Week 12 survivor pool picks
Kansas City Chiefs
Opponent: at Carolina Panthers
Moneyline odds: -650 (86.7% implied win probability)
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has only lost consecutive games four times in his career and sports a 14-4 straight up record following a loss.
The Chiefs head to Bank of America Stadium to face the 3-7 Carolina Panthers, and Mahomes and company are the largest favorites on the board.
Additionally, the schedule toughens for the Chiefs following a Week 13 divisional tilt with the Las Vegas Raiders, so this is definitely an opportunity to turn to the Super Bowl contenders.
Obviously, Carolina coming off a bye and playing at home is a slight knock, but there’s no comparison between these two rosters — especially behind center and on defense.
Washington Commanders
Opponent: vs. Dallas Cowboys
Moneyline odds: -550 (84.6% implied win probability)
This might be the best remaining spot to turn to the Washington Commanders in Survivor pools.
Washington has lost consecutive games to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles, and the Dallas Cowboys check out as a huge downtick in class.
Dallas QB Cooper Rush has led the offense to just 16 points and the lowest EPA per play over the past two weeks, after all.
Washington is also carrying the second-largest chalk on the schedule, and Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been just the opposite of Rush. The dynamic rookie has Washington ranking fourth in points per game (28.0) and second in EPA per play.
The Commanders have two road games (at New Orleans Saints and at Dallas Cowboys), with home tilts against the capable Atlanta Falcons and Eagles also following their Week 14 breather.
