Canucks vs Blues prediction

My Canucks pick: Canucks moneyline (+127 at Pinnacle)

My Canucks analysis
The Vancouver Canucks are coming off one of their best wins of the season, defeating the West-leading Winnipeg Jets by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday night. That was their second win by four or more goals in their last three games, with Vancouver now 3-1-0 in its last four contests following back-to-back losses.

Vancouver has been playing some stout defense in front of Kevin Lankinen, allowing 26 shots on goal or fewer in six straight games and nine of its last 10 contests. Lankinen has also been in fine form, sporting a .904 SV% and 2.53 GAA with Thatcher Demko on the shelf.

Although the St. Louis Blues have won three in a row, their competition hasn’t been particularly strong — including wins over the bottom-feeding Predators and Ducks.

The Canucks have been comfortable on the road this season at 17-12-4, while the Blues hold a 16-14-3 at home. Perhaps the Blues should be favored in this one, but not at this -145 price. Tonight's game is much closer to a coin flip than that.

Canucks vs Blues odds analysis

Vancouver opened at +115 but has risen to as high as +127, with St. Louis drawing most of the cash and tickets as home favorites. The Canucks don’t have any major injury concerns and are expected to have the same lineup as Tuesday night, including a possible return for Top-6 winger Conor Garland.

The total has also been bet down a bit. The Under 5.5 opened at -120 and it is now up to -140 as of early Thursday afternoon. That could be due to Blues starter Jordan Binnington being confirmed for tonight, while Lankinen is likely to start for the Canucks.
