Nazem Kadri is enjoying one of his most productive stretches of the season, having piled up 10 points and 33 shots on goal over his last eight games.

My Ducks vs. Flames predictions see Kadri continuing his success on home soil in an advantageous matchup.

Let’s dive deeper into my NHL picks for April 3.

Flames vs Ducks prediction

My Flames pick: Nazem Kadri Over 3.5 shots (-105 at BET99)

My Flames analysis
The Masters are just around the corner, and Nazem Kadri is getting into the spirit because he’s been teeing off of late.

The veteran pivot has generated ridiculous shot volume in recent weeks, particularly when playing on home soil. Kadri has averaged a whopping 4.5 shots on 8.5 attempts over his last 10 games in Calgary.

Kadri has a great matchup to continue building on his electric shot generation numbers tonight, as the Anaheim Ducks have allowed an average of more than 30 shots per game over their last 10.

In that time, they rank dead last in shot suppression at 5-on-5 and have played at the league’s highest pace. The Ducks have also bled shots to centers, ranking 31st in shot suppression vs. the position — their worst slot against any grouping.

All the stars are aligning for a big shooting performance from Kadri, who the Calgary Flames are playing a ton with their season on the line.

They need every point they can muster up, and Kadri is by far the most dangerous offensive player on a team that struggles to create offense. Look for Kadri to log over 20 minutes and pile up the shots in a mouthwatering matchup.

Flames vs Ducks same-game parlay (SGP)

Nazem Kadri Over 3.5 shots

Nazem Kadri Over 0.5 points

Flames moneyline

There's a strong correlation between Kadri piling up the shots and finding the scoresheet. He's recorded at least one point in eight of the last 10 games in which he cleared 3.5 shots. Kadri feasted in that span, tallying 13 points while putting forth five multi-point efforts. Five!

The Ducks tend to play in many high-event games and give up even more when playing on the road. Conversely, the Flames generate a lot more offense when able to control the matchups on home soil. Kadri should be the prime beneficiary.

The Flames have feasted on their fellow division mates over the years, winning eight of the last 10 head-to-head meetings, including both this season.

The Ducks have fallen out of the playoff race, while the Flames could be just three points out if they win their games in hand. The home team has much more on the line in this one, and I expect that to shine through.
