The Pittsburgh Penguins opened the season's final month with four straight losses, but they're back at PPG Paints Arena for a Sunday matinee with the Nashville Predators, less than 24 hours after a 6-3 loss to the Washington Capitals.
Nashville is on short rest as well. They hosted the Florida Panthers, whom they lost to 4-1, then had to get on a 90-minute flight to Steel City.
Will the Predators succeed on the short turnaround or will the Penguins snap their four-game losing streak? Find out in our free NHL picks and predictions for the Predators vs. Penguins on April 10.

Moneyline analysis
Both the Nashville Predators and the Pittsburgh Penguins can ill-afford to lose this Sunday afternoon game at PPG Paints Arena. The Predators are fourth in the Central Division and hanging on for one of the wild card spots.
They lost to the Florida Panthers on Saturday, snapping a two-game win streak. Nashville had a quick turnaround for the afternoon start in Pittsburgh, and the lack of rest could be an issue.
The Predators are 5-6 SU on the second game of a back-to-back this season but a win tonight would go a long way in securing that final wild card spot. Pittsburgh also has a losing record (4-6 SU) in the second game of back-to-backs.
The Predators have had success against Eastern Conference teams. They're 4-1 in their last five against the East but are 1-7 in the last eight against the Penguins on the road. They did win the last meeting between the two teams, 4-1, a month ago in Nashville.
The Penguins have been a beat-up team, which has played a role in this four-game losing streak, but they're starting to get injured players back. Star center Sidney Crosby returned on Saturday from an undisclosed illness. Before his illness, the future Hall of Famer had scored 26 goals and 46 assists in 59 games.
Also returning to the lineup are defenseman John Marino and forward Jason Zucker. There is a chance forward Radim Zohorna will also return, but he is listed as questionable.
All that said, the underdog value with this Preds squad playing much better is too much to pass up.
Prediction: Predators moneyline (+155 at DraftKings)
Over/Under analysis
Both teams are in the Top 10 offensively. The Predators are tied for ninth in goals scored, averaging 3.27, while the Penguins are a spot behind at 3.25.
Roman Josi is 10th in the NHL in points with 87 points (19 goals, 68 assists). Matt Duchene is 21st in points with 74 (37 goals and assists).
Pittsburgh is led by Crosby who, despite playing just 60 games, has 72 points (26 goals,46 assists). Jake Guentzel is right behind with 71 points (33 goals and 38 assists).
Defensively, the Penguins have the sixth-best goals against average at 2.70. Nashville is 12th at 2.89.
The Over, however, has been trending. The Over is 4-0 when the Predators face a team with a winning record. The Over is also 22-6 in the team’s last 28 road games.
The Penguins also find themselves in high-scoring affairs at home, with the Over being 9-3-1 in the team's last 14 home contests.
Prediction: Over 6 (-115 at DraftKings)
Best bet
Nashville is in a dogfight with the Dallas Stars and the Vegas Golden Knights for one of two wild card spots. Two points separate the three teams, with Nashville at 86 points, and Dallas and Vegas each at 84.
If the Predators are going to make the postseason they are going to have to win games like Sunday’s contest with the Penguins. They have shown solid form as of late, but the loss to Florida at home snapped a two-game winning streak.
Pittsburgh has been reeling the last 10 days, and while having Crosby back will help, it won't be enough. Look for the Predators to get the win.
