It’s just about now or never for the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final. Down 2-0 as they return to Rogers Place for Game 3 against the Florida Panthers, Edmonton’s offense will need to do better than the one goal they’ve put up in this series thus far.
Not surprisingly, our NHL player props have to target one of the three Oilers at the top of the playoff-scoring leaderboard. Read on for my NHL picks and a can’t-miss SGP Thursday night.

Best Panthers vs Oilers SGP for Thursday
If the Edmonton Oilers offense is going to break through, Leon Draisaitl is a good place to start. The second-leading scorer in the playoffs with 10 goals and 28 points, Leo has now gone four games without a goal in the postseason — the longest drought for the talented German.
He had gone goalless in three straight against the Canucks and broke that streak with a goal against the Stars in Game 1 of the West Final. The only time he’s been held pointless in back-to-back games in these playoffs was Games 2 and 3 against Dallas. Draisaitl bounced back from that with a goal in Game 4.
The man he’s going to have to beat, goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, has stopped 50 of 51 shots through two games. After a standout Game 1 effort with a 32-save shutout, the Florida Panthers netminder had a relatively light night in Game 2's 4-1 win, facing just 19 shots.
However, this is an Oilers side that averages a shade under 29 shots per contest in the playoffs. With their backs against the wall, expect the Oil to fire as much rubber Bobrovsky’s way as possible, which should make his 25.5-save prop a relatively easy Over.
Let’s wrap up with Florida forward Sam Reinhart, who’s been relatively quiet so far in the Stanley Cup Final with just an assist through two games. While his regular season was centered around a stellar 57-goal campaign, his strength in the postseason has been chipping in and doing his part.
He's logged 3+ points in every series, scoring eight goals and five assists along the way. Since joining Florida, Reinhart has had points in five of six regular-season meetings against the Oilers. Look for him to find the scoresheet on Thursday night.
