Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown is the co-main event for UFC Fight Night betting on Saturday, January 16, at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

This is going to be an awesome fight...is what I said eight years ago, but this should still be a solid showing from a pair of long-time UFC veterans.

UFC odds have Condit as a -168 favorite while Brown comes back at +136.

We break down the UFC betting odds and give our best picks and predictions for Condit vs. Brown at the first UFC Fight Night event of 2021.

Condit vs Brown Betting Preview

Carlos "The Natural Born Killer" Condit is the former WEC Welterweight champion as well as the interim UFC Welterweight champ. However, the 36-year-old hasn't had much success since losing the 170-pound belt to Georges St-Pierre in 2012.

Condit has gone just 1-5 in his last six fights since 2016. That said, he is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Court McGee last October.

Condit has a background in grappling but is much more comfortable on his feet where he can use his movement and kickboxing to great effect.

UFC Fight Night Odds for January 20

Matt "The Immortal" Brown comes into this fight off a second-round knockout loss to Miguel Baeza last May. Prior to that defeat, Brown had won back-to-back fights via knockout although the first of those fights came all the way back in 2017.

The recently-turned 40-year-old is 3-6 in his last nine fights going back to 2014. Even at his advanced age, Brown is a dangerous striker, especially in the clinch where he can unleash his elbows and knees.

Condit vs Brown UFC Prediction and Betting Pick

PREDICTION: Condit to win -168 - UFC odds opened with this fight as a pick'em, but early action has seen Condit become a -168 favorite. I still like Condit at that number because Brown is a bit of a volatile fighter that tends to either knock out his opponents or get finished himself.

Condit has a legendary chin, having never truly been KO'd in 44 career fights (his TKO loss to Tyron Woodley was due to a leg kick that blew out his knee). And while the Natural Born Killer has suffered a ton of losses in recent years, many of them came against highly-regarded grapplers such as Michael Chiesa and Demian Maia, a weakness in his game that Brown likely won't be able to exploit.

When these two were originally supposed to fight each other in 2013 (before Brown withdrew due to a back injury), Condit was the more polished striker. While a lot has changed since then, I still think he has the edge in that department.
